UNIST is actually a great game with a varied cast and great mechanics. DBZF has been the same game since it came out. With new Gokus and Vegetas.

That’s the wierd one to me.
DBFZ being behind smash, MK, Tekken, and SFV is pretty expected.
Unist being up that high is the outlier. Good for Unist though.
I am also surprised of Tekken beating SFV, maybe the S4 shenenigans are taking their toll.
I’d expect SFV to alway be either 1 or 2 if there is a new hotness in town (Smash and DBFZ 1st years).
Smash and Tekken have always been really big, so it doesn’t surprise me too much that they would pass SFV.
I would like to see real numbers so we can talk about the margins.
I suspect smash will blow everything else out.
SFV is only 3rd cuz people being bitches about no announcements yet. SFV entrants will see a big boost once the big news finally drops… as long as it’s before Evo.

Welp in true NRS fashion, they fucked up again.
For the first Evo it will. Easily 3K and up attendance. Whether it does the SF5 and its just an anomaly year is up in the air though.
As for smash being bigger than the FGC, thats not really the case. FGC is just spread over a bunch of games. Smash scene is mostly splut kn two games; maybe now 3.

But as a single game, smash is huge. And this year it’s both new, not competing with Melee, and is a better game than it has been since Melee.
Only one of those will change going forward.

Point being I am not surprised about Smash at all, it’s a new Smash, the only Smash and on its 1st year.
Is Tekken that is surprising
Last night I was playing an Akuma. I saw the setup coming, he did v trigger dp and crossed over with the tatsu, and I still got hit with the demon. Tried jumping out of it but it didn’t come out.
Is there any way to get out of it with Cody?

MK registration has a good chance to spike at release though, when a big chunk of people on the fence about it decide they like it enough.
MK players should be wildin’ out. Their game looks freaking great so far.
