you play BlazBlue, you’re so above everything else. Honestly I’m shocked any of us have the audacity to reply to someone who has the mental capability to play BlazBlue as a main game. We beg of your forgiveness Cipher.
Also your reply to Highland was made up of so much retarded shit it hurt my brain to read, Highland presented an opinion and instead of giving it valid criticism you’ve basically called him an idiot 10 times over.
This is why when we discuss something, I usually just call you a fucking moron and let you write a couple paragraphs or lie about things I’ve said.
On the ingame adds topic. It’s a very delicate subject but i do agree with @appo .
The ads as they are now are pretty much harmless and actually benefit you because you gain a bit of fight money to see a 2 second promotion of their current costume sells and so on.Harmless, fast and forgetable.
But is it now ? This may sound as “tin foil hat worthy” , conspiracy theory even but this in my opinion is just Capcom testing the waters on how they can further monetize their game and even future games.
We have gone from buying the game with all it’s content for a single purchase, to breaking the game in multiple parts and calling it DLC, to adding DLC to DLC ( yes it happend with several games ) , and now we are diving into adds while in game ?
What happens when a studio is partially funded by a third party sponsor ? What if that sponsor wants his own slice of the cake and maybe starts showing you adds after adds ?
It’s not the end of the world if you watch a 10 second clip, but you should not view it in that way.You need to view it how you are treated as a customer. A cash cow.
It’s no exageration and @appo made a good point. It all started with “horse armor dlc” for Elder Scrolls Oblivion was it ? Look where we are now, loot boxes ,dlcs, sub fees and the list goes on.
Everybody needs to make a profit and its understandable but it’s sad to see the game industry , developing games to squeeze you dry in all the possible ways ,rather then trying to develop games that you are more then happy to buy just for the sheer fun.
Capcom got it FROM other companies, it’s a business tactic that allows advertisement to benefit both customer and business.
It’s just that it’s a video game, so you don’t really expect to have advertisements thrown at you for a full priced retail game. Maybe if you were watching TV, or it was some kinda fast food chain campaign, but a video game sinking sponsored splash screens in, that seemingly increase load time? Nahhhhhhhh what the fuck
