I want to write something about how the point of fireballs, in 90% of games, isn’t even to do damage, but to put an obstacle on the screen that the opponent has to find a way around. It’s to force them to commit to an action you can punish, or specifically look for those fireballs in a way that can be exploited.
But I’m tired and need to go to bed and can’t be bothered writing more than that so w/e

Thanks Jin. Yeah, I do think I sound a little boring by nature. It was also my second take and I was basically repeating stuff I had said the day before so I may not have been that enthusiastic.
Next time, I’m going to record away from distractions and with a bullet list of talking points so I don’t jump around too much.
I may also have to colour it up a bit, but I don’t want to sound fake.
There are benefits to YouTube (can get some money for it (depending on view count), as well as the video can hold attention a little better,) but I really don’t have the equipment and I really like the podcast format (can drive or work on chores as you listen without it being too distracting).
I also know that just doing it myself will be boring so I don’t want my episodes to be too long. I am interested in collaborating with someone but it would have to be with the right person (someone that knows MK well and is very interested in it).

Also funny to see Frost ramble about anime zoning, when he has no clue how literally everything there is -ob. I mean Nu’s 5D is -12, with 50 frames of recovery, it has a dead angle and she doesn’t get much damage out of it, like 2k at best.
(thats equivalent to a Jab punish in SFV)

I was referring to Guilty Gear. Which is the most popular anime FG alongside DBFZ that heavily dissuade zoning in favour of aggression.
GG is aggresive all around. Even it’s zoning game is constant aggresion.
It’s also extremly setplay heavy, to the point were SFV’s 50/50 complaints look like gimmicks.
BB on the other hand is much more neutral focused with a different take on it.
It puts more emphasis on movement and decision making.
It’s also funny enough combo heavier.
Also the next time you call DBFZ an anime game, I’m going to buy a flight ticket to GB just to have a talk with you, as of why you hate an entire community so much.

It is to me. I see a brief image of the cast along with Laura’s titties or a screen with the costumes for a couple secs instead of a white screen. This is a non-issue for someone like me. I understand that others feel more strongly about it, which is fine.
