I dont play Guile because i like the style of ground game i can play where i can press buttons and still have dp on deck for AA without having to worry about the recovery of the buttons.

Because like lootboxes and FM system it’s relatable to time sink/cash grab things in free to play games. Some people feel nasty shilling CPT or Red Bull on their characters for FM.
It is not new, haven’t the red bull costumes been in the game for a while now and we have like 3 CPT stages, i don’t get what is the issue here ?
You’re right for the most part. I think people just didn’t mind the other stuff before because you had to do things like get a red bull can code or they were things that mostly the jersey wearers wore.
Capcom is advertising it as a new way to get FM so some people are feeling like they’re tied into shilling full time to get more FM. People were looking for new ways to build FM after the big cuts in AE so yeah.
IDK man, i feel like people are so negative on everything nowdays, and are just bitching about everything. Maybe it is the echo chamber effect of the internet though.
You see like a whole Youtube channels like cleanprince and downwardsthurst who are dedicated to do the sky is falling, everything sucks and everything is dying mentality.
You check something like SFV and a ton of negativity is there, a game like Overwatch and there is an insane amount of negativity.
So the issue is that they don’t want to see ads in something they paid for, as if i didn’t pay for a fuck ton of movies that had ads in them or product placements. Or like sport games who always have that stuff.

Ads are trash in those places too what are you talking about. Ridiculous focus on the product on screen takes me out of the movie. I also don’t go to movie theaters with fuck tons of previews. I don’t play madden or fifa so idk how bad it is there.
Commercials pay for tv shows so that is acceptable imo. I didn’t pay 60 bucks for the base game and drop money on other game related stuff so Balrog can have CPT stapled to his forehead.

Capcom is adding paid advertising into SFV. Load screen ads, ads present in certain stages, and “Ad style” costumes. You can opt out of it, but the hook is that you get extra FM when playing online if you have ads enabled.
Snuck in at the bottom of the Capcom-Unity announcement was that Capcom had also been looking at the number of completions of Extra Battle missions, and would like to adjust difficulties, attempts allowed, and rewards. And that they will continue to make such adjustments to Extra Battle in the future.
Since Capcom-Unity didn’t say which direction the Extra Battle changes would be going, the obvious assumption is that they plan to increase difficulty and reduce rewards. After all, if they were making it easier for players, they’d announce that detail. Besides, Capcom doesn’t really add new FM into the system, they just reshuffle existing distributions and call it a new source. Golden Soldiers were “funded” by Capcom cutting Weekly Mission payouts in half and removing Survival payouts. Likely now the paid advertising bonus is being “funded” by an overall reduction in Extra Battle earnings.
While I really don’t care about the ads, I can understand why a lot of people aren’t too fond of them. Capcom always seems to make those “out there” decisions when they really don’t need to. Now instead of people focusing on the free trial, you have people rambling about ads. Cot damn, Capcom. Stop playing the perception game on 6 stars when you don’t need to.
