You’re definitely right. Seems pretty lazy animation wise. 
I’ve been watching Abigail all weekend long. Itabashi is putting in WORK when he plays Abigail. That’s ALL Itabashi. You can say Abigail is strong but look at the player we are dealing with.

He has horns. He’s Oni Ryu. They might try to pass him off as some separate entity, but he’s the Oni version of Ryu. Which is really when the previous cinematic story was about Ryu completely overcoming all that stuff.
