I want a new Darkstalkers, but if it’s going to have this clay look Capcom still has a hard-on for, no blood or dismemberment, then I rather they don’t make a new one yet.
Capcom can sell Darkstalkers no problem as long as every female has a phat ass and every male character has a bulge. Also good music that goth kids can rave to, a touch of trance/DNB annnndddd fast simple action
It feels like every other month, there’s a new anime out featuring monster girls, so I think Capcom would be crazy not to put out a new Darkstalkers.
Speaking of monster girls, Capcom would be wise to continue their collaboration with Granblue Fantasy then. Have some GB costumes.

Falke’s old school beach wear is definitely a parallel to her default outfit. The coat even has the stripes like her default does. I like the throwback with the Poppins hat instead of full whoring her out in modern bikini

Darkstalkers 4 wishlist (might as well call it fanfiction but whatever):

A stable and reliable netcode, preferably the net code Infinite was using.

A lobby system similar to what is seen in dbfz/bbxtag/Xrd. Basically, a giant plaza

A clear and purposeful focus on creating a fun fighting game, not strictly a competitive one

The strong characters in the past games to remain strong while buffing the weaker ones

I would welcome Darkstalkers with open arms if SFV and Marvel were good enough to take the risk, but that’s not the case.

Marvel has nothing to do with Darkstalkers. It’s a Capcom IP.
I was referring to MvCI actual status. Looking at it and SFV we don’t really know how many resources will be used for Darkstalkers, doing another FG when the already existing ones aren’t that polished and successful it’s risky.
Recent technical fiascos with the input lag aside (kinda hard to put aside, I know) Capcom was able to improve a lot of stuff with SFV since it was released, and I think it has become a good game considering what this game is supposed to be (a simplified version of Street Fighter made to help more people play competitively at the cost of some degrees of depth).
Marvel was a disaster, but I think it was because something went wrong with the dealings between the two companies, either Marvel really demanded an art style that didn’t fit what Capcom had available or the deal was so costly for Capcom that they had to get really cheap with the game itself. Then Marvel seems to have shut down any idea about a Pro Tour, so…
I’m willing to see what Capcom can do with a new Darkstalkers and no rushed releases or interferences from external companies this time. At least, if they screw that one too we will know for sure if their fighting game division sucks for real or not.
