In any case, I think it’s mostly what you laid out before about the game itself that drags things down the most for you, with the character limits just being the icing on the cake. By the time you get to the fun bits (IE Cody VTII) you just don’t care anymore 'cause of what you had to go through to get there.
It’s okay though 'cause G will save SFV. Just look at how expressive his top hat is!

Cody VS is so good that it’ll be the death of the Cody player at the same time. I really don’t like having to bait his VS but hey it gives a CC so w/e

TOs screwed up seeding so my 1st match against a super bronze Akuma didn’t count.
Then got matched against a super diamond Fang. Lovely MU for Gief.

Nah I do think characters like Dhalsim, Gief, Menat and like…the niche archetype characters like Juri/FANG are all unique to play because they’ve always been specialist characters.
But characters like Ken, Akuma, Nash, Cody all feel super samey. Their VTs set them apart, but their neutral is all super homogenised.
I’ll probs just rotate between Cody and Juri, ones fast and ones slow so I got a bit of everything. Not dropping him or anything, just sick of playing only him now.

If I only care about Training/Online/Versus you know what I can play? About 50 other Fighting games courtesy of Fightcade and not have to pay a cent and I guarantee they’re all equally as good if not better.

Definitely need to see more Falke attire. I never get tired of looking at her. Need the mad scientists to hit the lab and create more unique shit if Capcom won’t do it.
Then how about you buy it for me, because I’m not spending more than $5 on the game. It could legitimately be fun but honestly I don’t care. It’s not worth it at that price tag. I honestly can’t name a single FG in history where I"d be comfortable spending $60, and spending $40 on FLEX just leaves you at an immense disadvantage and is honestly stupid as fuck.
At least now we’ll find out if everyone was really pissed off at SFV’s business policies, or only at how poorly they were executed, because FLEX’s business is literally just a less dumb version of SFV’s business policy.
