IDK the timing or frame kill for it yet, but G DEFINITELY has a safe jump off of normal command grab. This is GREAT!

Level 1 CG emptyjump forward, atleast +5 or +6. Cr.lp wiffs but cr.mp hits. This also leaves G point blank so he can “vortex” it into itself with another Level 1 CG…
LVL2 Does it without even needing the frame kill.

Level 2 CG has 10 more damage and more + frames after an emptyjump. All mediums will wiff after emptyjump, however, hold upforward and mash medium punch and you will get perfectly timed meaty st.mp. This shit seems like a hack or someshit. Obviously you have more landing recovery when you wiff a jump button… but the weird shit here is that if I press the whiffed j.mp on the way down and time the meaty when I land… the st.mp still wiffs… but if I mash the st.mp it hits EVERYTIME. Even holding upforward as I land and mash mp… it still comes out and hits EVERYTIME.
Good but you have to deal with backrise there so it’s a standard wakeup situation. The setups I’m talking about are off of just command grab. Only quickrise or no rise to deal with.
Think of it like t hawks L command grab in sf4. No damage, big setup.
The thing is, you’ll need setups to even land the Command Grab to begin with, or have balls of steel and hope the opponent stands still for an eternity.
His P rush punches are -4 on block on pres lvl 1&2 (-6 on lvl 3) so you can fish with them until you reach lv3. I think they’re the only safe-ish way to build presidentiality since the other charge cancels leave the opponent too close to you. His AA spin kick seems to blow them back too but I didn’t test how safe it is to charge with it. Once you’re lv3 every button (+ cmd grab) leads to ~250 dmg combos so you can run a train on them.
? His command grab seems to be the same speed as any other command grab. Standard grappler mindgames will apply. Jab>CG or jab>frame trap or dash up CG etc etc etc
And if they neutral jump your CG or have that habit, G might be able to do the sf5 with a whiffed normal throw into AA v skill or some such.
What? His command grab is 12f lol. It’s noticeably slower than any other command grab.
Are you talking about his VT2 command grab or his regular command grab?
VT CG or Norma CG? His normal one feels like a normal CG.

It’s 12 Frames homie. It’s the reason why I found so many meaty setups. I haven’t even touched VT2, though apparently that one is 20 Frames.
Color me corrected I guess. LOL. Doesn’t matter. No one is reacting to it so same shit applies. Use staggers and frame traps to set it up.
I guess if people can land Necalli’s command grab you might be able to land G’s too eventually.
