Never heard of assetto corsa.

I had a random ass match where i was about to beat someone and then my inputs stopped working and he just walked up and beat me up. Not sure how that happened.

Now that I’m in Diamond I’m fighting grand master dudes and my Falke sucks vs any grand master dude so far. Gotta level up my neutral so I can slow them down. I wanna fight a grand master Akuma though because so far I scrape up any Akuma that comes up. She outranges him really hard and he can’t really do much of his air shit without getting hit.

i love Falke

Saitsu is correct on this one. Ed’s -2 “abuse” comes from fully charged st.hp (point blank -2 on block) and his v skill (point blank -2 on block).

Ed’s normals? Naw, no real -2 situations in throw range to worry about, but the aforementioned moves? Yeah, total -2 “mixups” apply to them on block.

Yeah, it’s just since he said normals I had to put it out that none of his normals set up any real minus 2 shenanigans (at least not Urien/Rashid level ones).

Psycho knuckle does set it up on block but it has a reactable charge up and needs to be started close enough where they dont have extra time to DP it out or jump out of it. V skill isn’t bad for it, but V Skill is easy to jump over if abused and you’re better off just using the full charge once in a blue moon to get the plus 3.

So far I’m finding Falke to be kind of easy for Akuma. Unless the Falke’s I’ve played are not doing it right, I’m getting through that AA special of hers easily with air fireball. I play a more zone heavy Akuma so I don’t bother trying to get in her ranges. I just stay on the outside throwing fireballs and try to force her to come to me.

And I save meter for EX demon flip to pass through her air shots. It basically also shuts down VT1 air shots in neutral. So they end up wasting it on grounded fireballs which is fine by me.

Most online Falkes are very basic. They’re probably just throwing the PP if you air fireball from a far range at the top of your jump which is the one place where you can kinda get an air fireball out. If Falke walks close enough to you you cant get the air fireball out without worrying about a trade. Once she gets meter you can’t air fireball without losing clean to EX PP or a trade that damage favors Falke. If she isn’t confident in PP or doesn’t want to spend EX PP she can air to air with j.MP to stop air fireball and most air shenanigans from a large range while neutral jumping so she doesn’t have to put her body out there.

Most of them probably aren’t that great at zoning either because you pretty much have to red fireball to even zone her. She beats his regular fireball pretty free since she can just stand outside of the range of that and shoot under it safely. Red fireball beats her full screen low shot zoning, but once she walks inside of that you cant really fireball without worrying about getting low profiled. Which then forces you to go to the air which is what Falke wants. If you’re beating her air shots and v trigger shots they’re not using enough j.MP which shuts out most of the stuff you can use to beat those.

Basically its a matchup where once Falke gets the life lead and some meter you can’t really approach without taking damage. If she’s sitting on a couple bars you’re not going to EX demon flip without taking an EX PP unless you somehow get it to cross over her. Most online Falkes will probably continue being aggressive when they dont need to, but once Falke gets life lead that’s it she doesn’t have to do much but wait for the Akuma to try something.

About the air shots, I’m reacting to them and punishing it with the palm. Even if I’m a little late, her DP is too slow to stop me from getting in.

As for everything else, I’ll admit I rarely run into Falke nowadays. That was the strategy I developed against her when she came out. It would be interesting to take on real Falke main’s who have a clear strategy in the match up like what you described. Until then I still feel confident about the match up.

This is all I saw from that gif

Kiss my ass forum I hate this shit, can’t post oddly shaped images

Who you think?

Yeah we’ll have to play sometime. I had grand master cammy quit after first match cuz he was scared of the rematch. Only barely lost to a near master Cammy and scraped up Super Diamond Cammy 2 0. Cammy and Akuma are similar in that if you just do the right thing there’s nothing they can do neutrally to approach you without getting lucky. They approach from very similar angles that are pretty much the space that Falke commands and dont have much way to circumvent it. If they do get in its problems, you can basically react or position yourself almost everything they do to get in.

A lot of the random Falkes online like to abuse air fireball, but its only strong when used well. Has a lot of recovery and makes her hurt box huge so bad ones can be punished easily. The point is to mix them up with your jump ins and dives so the opponent cant just react with a DP or 2 button anti air/parry thing. I get a lot of jump ins because people see my hand is charged in the air and figure air fireball is coming and then I just come down on them with a button or empty jump and throw. Most Falkes dont play any of her real air mind games which you have to play to improve her pressure since she doesn’t have an overhead or a command grab. If Falke plays the air game right, people start getting frustrated that they can no longer reliably use grounded anti airs and start getting antsy and dashing or jumping forward.

@TWINBLADES I found Neon in ranked (he’s got like 133k LP rank 12 lol). Took him to last round last match. He was like psychic countering my jump MP first match then I mixed it up and went in with empty jump low which he fell for pretty free. Went back and forth next match the 2 rounds then he figured me out last game. Was good set.

They have enough links, if you would actually play them you might know this.
But since you only judge them from outside and don’t play them, you could possibly never know this.

Gatlings are the standard approche, but links are a thing, often after certain Specials and Pokes you cannot Gatling out of.

There’re also character entirely link based in Anime, Slayer being one of them and Azrael is also link based, granted Azrael has so many + frames and hitstun on all of his shit, you literaly can go and bake a cake before hitting the next button.

Es has certain links after her overheads and 5C,5D Buttons.
Hecken even Mai got links, granted they’re only important for Max damage Combos.

Sometimes it feels like Jin is a watch tower watching over all of you. He have seen your every dropped combo and whiffed DP.

I said they’re not link based not devoid of links…lmao

Why u no look at my Sakura :frowning:

Pfft. I toss that all under the plane so I don’t have to worry about it. Got sick of answering questions about where I’m going or even hearing an agent who happens to know about games making comments about it.
