Wow, live footage of Evil Canadian running to the MK Panel to meet Ed Boon.
If both Honda and the Neo-Shadaloo gorilla get revealed at Final Round, does that mean that Capcom is trying to flirt with Evil_Canadian’s ever growing youtube influence or that Evil_Canadian himself is already secretly in control of Capcom’s fighting game department?
Both options terrify me for very different reasons.
You think DMC4 is better than DMC3…what?
DMC4 is literally a direct upgrade over 3.
And Nero is the best playing character in the whole series. So while DMC3 is amazing… it’s not a hard call for me.
also I agree with you, Nero does feel more stronger than Dante I don’t know if they intended that to make people like Nero more but it’s whatever. The game difficulty is also too easy you can mash the same button and get far into the game with it. The last thing that bothered me is the style ranking meter, in previous games it would build up if you did a variety of different combos but in 5 you can keep doing the same thing and it will jump to SS
Also DMC5 just gives you S’s and A’s for everything. In DMC3 you had to work for that S rank. In DMC5 it feels like a participation award.
Game is still great though. I still think overall vanilla DMC3 is still the best in the series imo.
The style meter is a bit different. It’s tough to get above S without trying, but hitting and maintaining an S is fairly easy.
I wonder if that’s to accommodate V? He doesn’t have that many options by comparison?
Edit: one thing I liked about DmC is that it gave you the breakout of how the style was being calculated.
Bonchan and Highland need to get their sons together.
If he played like me he would have made comebacks like these.
I’m going to assume that playing Falke makes your opponent just insanely mad. You out there doing work with a bunch of slow ass normals and some silly fireballs for counter zoning.
@DevilJin_01 Do you ever use her cr.mp? Looks like it should be good but it just keeps getting me into trouble. Also which button do you use to hold charge?
Already made a couple of comebacks. They’re all old school SF comebacks so they’re pretty easy to do. You just chip away at people (which is even lolsier becuase your normals stack grey damage) and then they lose and probably wonder wtf happened.
Chill Broad 9000 is a great waifu.
No I hate that button. The only high ranked Falke i know that uses it is BigOggy and I believe he mainly uses it because he’s a VT2 player and it’s a good button to safely confirm into it from. Ever so slightly less hard to jump in on due to 2 frames less recovery if you must abuse it.
Main problem with c.MP is it has pretty much similar frame data/hit box to s.HP (even with the buffs) for far less reward. Using it for VT2 activation confirms and maybe saving you 2 frames off getting jumped in on from s.HP are like literally the only uses of the button. It’s not even a pixel longer than s.HP even though it visually looks like it is.
I usually hold MP unless I want to hold charge while using MP at the same time (to pester with j.MP dash in shenanigans while holding air fireball) and at those times I’ll switch to holding LP.
I have fun fooling around with Falke in Battle Lounges. Poking people from a half screen away is pretty damn fun. Reminds me of we I used to the same thing with Elena in SF3.
Honestly thinking about getting Falke. She always kick my ass and her costumes are mad good.
This is falking ridiculous
I keep saying that Falke is sugar, spice and everything nice.
I usually hold mp when I need charge. Holding lp causes my arthritis to flare up.
C mp is a button now. It wasn’t even that in S3, but it is still way worse than s HP.
Pretty much. I’m sure Capcom is afraid that if they gave her an OD medium button she’d run the neutral too similarly to how Menat’s s.MP and Dhalsim’s medium buttons just OG up the neutral with low commitment (while still having an EX DP and super that take up most of the screen). Her j.MP is like an aerial version of those type of buttons, but it does force her into a little bit different of a style due to that.
Plus side is that her heavies can convert into full combos so her heavies that she can viably poke/zone with can set up pressure and set play that they can’t.
I was in training with Falke many months back but stopped.
Looks like I need to hop back on that train. I need to get my Falke right so I can play some good ol’ keepaway.
right now it looks like Kolin, Nash and Bison are just terrible match ups for her. I’ve only played one birdie but he was a columbian dude with 6 frame EX dolphin dives, can’t really say that is indicative of the match up.
Not sure how to play against Guile or Akuma yet. Its kind of nice to just worry about the fun SF things with her than needing to make sure I have set ups or meaties in check. Should probably learn some v-trigger stuff though.
Falke is a shitty character.
A good character would stand 2 inches in front of my face so we can take turns punching each other in the nuts.
Serious face: I don’t think Kolin is that bad for Falke. Definitely in Kolins favor, but not a hopeless situation.
Kolin is less bad once you learn it (you have to do a LOT of fake hitting buttons and empty jumps) but like probably her 5th worst match at minimum.
Nash kinda sucks, especially if they’re good but he has no DP so if you do get in you can run a train and try to shimmy him into a combo or AA him/air to air him trying to jump away. If he had a DP or 3 frame I’d put it as really bad, but saving grace is you do have ranged options vs him and if you do lock him down he does have to hold some shit.
Bison sucks. I can beat a GM Bison 2 0 then 20k Super Diamond Bison will beat me 2 0. You gotta play perfect to maybe win. Rog and Fang are still the two worst matches IMO. If they play right there isn’t much you can do. At least the buffs Falke got make the Bison matchup more doable.
Pretty much. Kolin just does a good job of forcing Falke to not play super flowchart poke/hit confirm neutral. She takes her a bit out of her element but once you learn that you can’t auto pilot buttons it gets easier.
She’s like the opposite of matchups like Gief, Cammy, Akuma and Karin where you can just auto pilot the hell out of the neutral since they don’t have the range to compete with you and most of their jump arcs fall into your meterless/metered AA.
