I deal with ideas alien to me all the time, it’s how I got to where I am today (and I thank SRK for most of that). It’s just certain topics as a whole devolve into shit flinging.
To me it’s like going to a Philly game with a Giants jersey on and going PHILLY SUCKS PHILLY SUCKS in the stadium that has a jail and courtroom inside of it. Even somewhere where they don’t always check guns like tailgating area or local bar.
Will you get beat up for saying Philly sucks around a bunch of drunk Philly fans? Yup. Is it right for them do it? No. Are they going to do it any way, yes? Are you going to wanna do it again? Probably not
Gun shit happens, but people know guns put you in a shit ton of trouble if you use them illegally so not everybody wants to be the gun guy even in Philly. The reason Philly fans are so notorious is partly because they do bad things, but most of them don’t revolve around guns. Like the Philly fans that crippled the famous Redskins fan ChiefZ. They never shot him up, but it’s a rowdy place and if they don’t like you it goes down.
There’s always going to be that crazy guy, but in general if you screw up in ATL or Philly those are two places where you’re almost guaranteed to get a beating and nobody should be surprised. For the average screw up that doesn’t care to be a John Woo flick wannabe and get revenge they’ll get the message and realize they screwed up.
The “you gonna get a beatdown” mentality of Philly and ATL gives those places a sort of order past the cops.

I am re-reading One Piece to catch up (last time I stopped right after they pissed the henchman of one of the 4 pirate lords or whatever they are called, some candy thing if I remember correctly. Anyway, it would be a much better IP for a fighting game than Dragon ball imo. Hope ArcSys gets on that.

Philly fans are cool as shit but one thing I can’t stand is how people from there, or really any big city, can’t go 10 minutes without saying that’s where they are from. They shoehorn it into conversations all the time, even when they haven’t lived their for years
