SFV Lounge: Cammy at the Falken bottom, Makoto is in final phases, Leo Alex is broken

Nah, I keep that shit one way. People say a lot of wacky shit in real time.

If it didn’t happen in SRK, it didn’t happen at all. Any time people drag shit from other places it turns threads into dumb shit.

College is a scam. Public school is shit. Most math is useless to normal people.

Im a union electrician. 15 years exp. Math all over. Most of it pointless for an average electrician. I mean i use it, but they made shit so easy with phone apps, most of the math is useless knowledge.

Damn, that’s a lot of shit.

Cockblocking us worse than Capcom and new content.

SRK is a public forum. Discord shit is private since you gotta get invited into those places.

I ain’t snitchin’ or draggin’ drama. I’ll let the more uncouth members of this subforum stick to doing that.

I was actually making my way around to that. When i was growing up in elementary school teachers always would say that we wouldn’t carry a calculator everywhere. Jokes on them I guess
Though basic math is definitely something everyone should be capable of, technology has eliminated some of that need, for better or worse.

But back to what I was saying, school should be for basic bitch book knowledge and life skills. Teaching this “general” shit sounds good on paper but in reality you are wasting the time of 7/10 students. There should be less focus on “you may need this” and more on “you will need this” and “you should know how this works”.

I only used the Pathagoran Theorem as an example because I knew someone would jump to its defense since it falls under “math” and “kids need that”. But you could make the same argument about any of the core subjects past like middle school level.

Even if we assume school should continue to teach “general” knowledge, they can’t anyway because, at least when I was growing up, schools were total shit at teaching anything past the basics. It’s more about getting good grades and passing tests, since iirc funding was (is?) tied to standardized test scores. And let me tell you that shit is easy. In HS they tried multiple times to get me to join The National Honor Society or whatever the hell it is, and that was after I wasn’t even trying for years at that point. Most of what I “learned” was shit I already knew or it was niche BS I didn’t need to pass tests.

Like this extra shit is unnecessary when niggas don’t even know how their government works or how to do basic shit for their car. Leave that extra shit for the schools people specifically go to to learn specific skills.

LOL I go to the same local as him. I’m new around the area so I haven’t talked to him or most people there but I’ve seen him a number of times. I’ve never played him in real life or online but I had no idea he was infamous for that.

Speaking of one and done’s, I still remember this SD Balrog player when I was a Diamond that did that to me all night. The difference is that he was winning almost all the time. I was free points for him for the most part but he would only play me once, win, and then leave.

Dude never banned me either so I guess it wasn’t the connection. It was just confusing to me why he didn’t ban me or take advantage of the fact that I was pretty much free points for him.

Ah School.

I remember well how I was in School.
In the 9th Grade one of my teachers made the best sentence of all time:
“You won’t need any of the shit in your future from the 7th grade onwards. Already learned nothing of value the last two years and you will furthermore learn nothing of value. Only thing our politicians care is to look good to the outside and not if their students are prepared for life.”
Thats more a nice little collection of words of wisdom.
I liked the, you won’t need this shit, the most.

Though never needed any of it, he was right. What I needed for my job was teached at the school for this and they started there from square one too.

Teaching will eventually be my profession but even I can admit, schools past Elementary are really only about keeping youths occupied until they turn 18. Realistically no one needs school past maybe 7th grade and that’s being generous, but then you have really young kids going into the workforce or doing nothing. So it leads into a pretty big disconnect that will take quite a long time to solve…and probably won’t be solved because of how integrated it is into society.

DMC5 is fucking awesome, if a Capcom crossover fighting game happens I want V to be there

Make a V/G/Mr.X team happen pls

If there’s really a rumored MVC4 I hope V’s included cause his moveset could be so cool And old Dante would look so sick

Yea V needs to be in a MVC game, I enjoyed playing V the most tbh.

The funny thing about that is that Infinite is on the Unreal engine , same as SF5.

But for some reason they decided to go with that terrible art style.

Graphics don’t make a game but if it looks bad it’s gonna give a bad impression from the start.I hope they learned from that.Few games died as fast as Infinite.

How about some good art styles then @Skort :3

Thoroughly agree. I got to the part where you first play as Dante and sweet baby Jesus is he awesome in this game. The game keeps one upping my expectations.

I think this whole DMC cast would be awesome in a Vs game. Robo arm Nero has a ton of options and could be really fun mechanically (har har), V is cool as shit, and this version of Dante could be a completely new and wonderful combo monster.
