That’s a numbers question at this point. We do know that Solo’s reshoots were expensive as all hell.

The response to TLJ is, I think, overstated due to the volume of the detractors. Most surveys, and other analytics show a positive response to the movie from most audiences. So it’s doubtful it would have affected solo too much, outside of just raw proximity.
Solo was a poorly marked movie that never made a case for why it should exist, or why people should want to see it. In the end, it turned out just okay, which, after the above wasn’t going to entice audiences.
Also, the existence or lack there of, of reshoots is not a good indicator of a movies quality. That’s one of those things that people point to in hindsight to explain a movies failings.
Eh…we aren’t talking about reshoots in terms of movie quality, its reshooting expenses eating at the bottom line.
Solo didn’t even crack 400 million worldwide. That movie was cooked even without reshoots. No arguments on Rogue One from me. It is my favorite “Disney” Star Wars movie too. Shout out to Chris G for going out like a G in the movie.

This is exactly why DC has been better than Marvel for years now in the comics. Marvel comics only serve as ideas for the movies now, along with massive changes to the roster. DC is still just regular old DC for better or worse. The comics are the priority and they never try to make stories test beds for future movie plots or change characters up to be more in line with movie shit.

But my point is still relevant, reshoots are a common part of the production process. Having to do them can be expensive and eat at the bottom line, but if the result is a better movie, usually that is positive for a studio.
If it wasn’t they wouldn’t bother with reshoots in the first place.

So like, I don’t know if you are aware, but user scores on metacritic/rotten tomatoes are basically the most irrelevant stats you can reference for pretty much anything.
As one example, the cinema score for TLJ was an A, which is actually very good on their scale. That is an actual statistically valid, calculated metric.
