They’re probably timing a release for Japan if the capcom UK Twitter wasn’t just lying. So it’d be either in 5 minutes or a few hours. I’m not holding my breath for either.
Coming soon can mean days for Capcom since regular maintenance apparently meant 3 weeks.
You fools don’t even realize you are in a m.night shyamalan movie, there is no alex, there never was.
Would be nice if they actually patched stuff in one at a time instead of us waiting a whole month for them to bunch it all together with 2 update news before the actual release just for much needed bug fixes and then content instead of trying to hype it up.
It’s perfectly understandable if Alex is not going to a part of the March update (this is Capcom we are talking about) but they should at the very least unlock the ability to use the store for the storyline costumes. They are in the game it’s not even DLC.
I think Capcom are completely clueless to what ‘shortly’ means or implies.
Sure would be nice, but 8 man lobbies and general online optimization has to happen. RQ’s need to go. Rollback doesn’t need to get worse after a maintenance. Keep watching ppl lose interest and just shelf the game until later. Not a good look for a young game.
The february release was by no means meant for the casual audience.
The game may become passable once the march update finally hits in mid may, and it will eventually grow casual competent with the storymode update in june…
Casuals would’ve moved on by then. Unless the Capcom story mode is exemplary, containing award winning writing and acting, no one is gonna blink an eye at their ‘late to the party’ attempt at story. I say this as one of the minority here who actually spent an unhealthy amount of time on SF’s canon.

Well, i waited so far i can wait a bit longer. I guess i have a bit more patience because i have no hype for Alex.
The thing i want the most is more slots to battle lounge so i can play with a few friends, and Cammy’s premium costume. SF5 launch was a mess so i understand why they take their time with this patch, that is supposed to up the game’s quality level. Sadly i don’t think it will bring enough to ease up on the anger that a lot of people have.
Capcom will have to support the game quite good over the coming months in my opinion.
Oh well, worst case scenario is next week, i doubt they will delay the patch for next month.
PS : anyone know if the rumors are true regarding the ability to rename our fighter ID via fightmoney or real money in the capcom shop ?
Haven’t heard anything about spending to change your fighter ID. Sounds interesting though.
This update is just like every KI update. It will come in March, they just never have to say when.
Am I the only one who thinks it is completely reasonable to release a patch and a new character after the first 2 premier events?
Releasing it days before would be ridiculous.
I think it either needed to come in the first week of March or after NCR. So either the 1st or the 29th because of when PSN updates.
In my defense, I did not know NCR was happening a week after FR19. My expectations would have been tempered if I had known beforehand.
Except every KI update comes with a trailer and a dev stream.

Doesn’t mean SFVs won’t either. Sometimes they would hold one off way later than the other. Like you’d get a dev stream, but then still wait till the end of the month for the trailer and the character. Overall its a similar situation here.
They’re cutting it kinda close. Dev stream and a trailer are pointless if the patch drops 12 hours later. Sorta defeats the point of a preview.

Purpose of a preview is to hype up the market to actually purchase the game or the DLC. They pretty much botched all the promotional spots for Alex unless… he isn’t being released in March.
