In my experience not only the matchmaking is having problems. Lots of times I’m having a good connection with a friend, we play like 20 games flawlessly then suddenly it turns to a lagfest (both sides with nothing but sf5 on their router, no wifi, nothing else)
We live we MADE IT
Actually got a few matches in with only 2 mid match disconnects this time.
For thw last three nights i have beet getting 2100d errors until about midnight local time. Cant connect, log in or anything.
Then all of a sudden it starts working.
Im averaging 3 hours sleep a night cuz of this game. I’m fucking exhausted.
Info on the rage quit and matchmaking fixes coming later on.

Disconnecting Players (aka Rage Quitters)
Yes, we are well aware of the problem of players disconnecting before the match ends to retain their League Points and their win streaks. Thanks to all of the players who have brought this to our attention.
We are working on a permanent solution to this problem, though we don’t have an exact date to share with you at the moment. That said, we are going to take direct action starting next week to punish those players who are abusing the system.
This punishment will be severe for the worst offenders, but we will need the community’s help with this. We will follow up with more details next week, but over the weekend, please record every instance of rage quitting you encounter. The best way to do this is to use the SHARE function on the PlayStation 4 after the match has concluded, though any video evidence will suffice (Twitch archives, local recordings etc.).

Matchmaking**
Much like the last update, matchmaking for both Ranked and Casual modes is working as intended for most users, but we do understand this is not the case for some players in Europe, the Middle East and various other regions. Several improvements were made this past week that should have decreased the wait time for many users in those territories, but we will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates when additional improvements are made.
That’s about it for today. Once again, if you have any feedback, please leave a comment here on Capcom Unity or shoot a tweet over to @SFVServer.
Thanks for your support and look for more updates next week!*
Winter Brawl X going on LIVE. First east coast major.
When I hear that they need our help to send them logs of people quitting, my spirits soar. =P
I think matchmaking is broken; not seeing LPs before a match I’m getting everyone from Bronze to Gold all of a sudden
if you go in training mode and look at attack data, how come there are numbers in brackets beside damage and stun?
The damage and stun of the last hit
I think it prevents people from quitting before the match starts
I see the stats in casuals but not ranked
Just so people know, no date has been announced for the release of Alex or any March content yet
I keep getting error 40006 after I win/lose matches in ranked does anyone know whats going on?
The “march update” is apparently in Sony’s certification process now, according to a Capcom rep.
If its in Sonys hands now then I’m estimating sometime next week (based off what DE said about Sonys cert process taking 1-2weeks)
Ok Ok.
So, SONY is doing a quality test on PS4.
I HOPE that the pc also gets it. I really, really hope that the support is the same, both for ps4 and pc users.
Now, if they screw something with the march update on pc (while supporting well the ps4 edition) something could really, really go wrong.
Trust me. I will be more than surprised if this March update hits with no hiccups on PS4 and PC. Something is gonna go wrong
Well Sony would be the one to test it on Its console, the same goes for MS/Nintendo. Steam has their own process too I imagin, and I think it’s the quickest/easiest.
I don’t understand these “Steam/Sony certification process” talks. Didn’t Capcom create their own servers exactly to avoid that and to be sure patches are delivered simultaneously on both platforms?
During betas you weren’t downloading patches from Steam nor PSN but directly from Capcom servers.
On the Steam screenshot, I only see people guessing, not people with real informations. (“from what I understand”)
It has nothing to do with delivery and everything to do with internal testing from Sony.
It’s not a guess, this is how every major patch is handled for every single game released on a console. Sony has to test the patch to make sure it’s fully compatible with its system and it doesn’t brick shit. You usually aren’t privy to this process, but it happens all the time.
Difference between server side updates and patches of this nature is server side shit doesn’t introduce anything new onto your system. The patch delivery process literally does not change because capcom wants a simultaneous release, they still have to go through the same loops.
