SFV Character Request/Anticipation Thread

I’m expecting Karin to be in a business attire. Similar to King from KoF maybe? Hopefully her hair doens’t change much.

If they were ever to exceed 20+ characters, I wouldn’t mind going the Soul Calibur route where you had 2 characters using a similar weapon, but they played differently. In this case, we’d have 2 rekka chars or 2 shotos, but they play different enough. And it wouldn’t be a big roster mess like Ultra is.

Unless of course… it’s possible to eventually reach 20+ very unique play styles.

Karin

V-trigger=Rekka strings become 5 moves long as opposed to 3 with faster startup. Many of her moves get juggle properties (like they did in Alpha 3).

V-Skill=This would be like a personal action. She would fake yawn like she is bored. It hurts the opponent’s confidence, causing your next attack to 25% more damage and their next attack to do 25% less damage. Can be stacked 4 times. Leaves you super open, so you have to be careful when you use it (after combos, knockdowns, when far away).

Louiscipher, I’ve been gracious so far and not saying anything about your presence. You know what I have to say about you and you know the actual truth. But any further discussion would lead into shit storming and I’d rather not create any more work for @d3v . All I can say is that your past actions and comments, especially on the internet, have consequences and people have warned you before. Is this just deserts? I won’t say one way or another.

All I can ask is why even bother having your Louiscipher account permanently banned by a mod on SRK if you continue to gallivant and “masquerade” as Alexisdabomb when it is painfully obvious when it’s you and when you use the same signature?

All I can say is that through over the years, I have come to pity you. Your story is that of a person consumed by complexes of one’s own ego. It’s so fragile and precious, but is equally voracious and petty. I can see at times you being earnest in wanting to get better at fighting games, but you’re devoured and owned by your desire of having status and reputation that it interferes with getting better. In trying to salvage the scraps of that reputation and defend it through grossly apparent lies and conniving, it only has further backfired and poisoned any prospects of recovery. The further you try to deny all of this, the more it actually hurts your reputation and further staining your ego. What you say and how you say it tells more about yourself than what others say about you. Your character and mettle is very telling.

I’ll say that how others have dealt with you is at times just as immature as your conduct, but people are stirred to do so because they are frustrated with your behavior.

He’s = he is. If he IS currently on the run then he is currently not being mind controlled. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t being mind controlled before.

While louis can get annoying, he hasn’t don’t anything worth acting on recently. VilioPd, aka RVN on the other hand has already been banned 5 times and is once again on an alt to get around a ban.

And my initial point was that the idea of Charlie being under the command of the Illuminati was far too derivative of Necro’s story. Not that it can’t be done, but I’d hope for something more original. Or at least pertaining more to Bison aside from getting annihilated by him.

You know, Rachid, being from North Africa where Egypt is, could be an Egyptian character. If that’s the case he may be based on Avdol from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Guile is based on Stroheim / Polnareff, from Jojo’s Part 2 / Part 3
Rose is based on Lisa Lisa, from JoJo’s Part 2

It may be time for a new Jojo’s influenced character.

Avdol is a flame user. So Rachid may be a fighter with flame based attacks.

It sounds like you just want to play a divekick character instead of Makoto. Her identity is to be a slow character with fast dashes, and her grab/high/low mixup is a reward for getting in. There’s no point in adding Makoto if you don’t keep that, in my opinion.

Also there are some redundant or unlikely things in there. I’m pretty sure a V-trigger with full invincibility would go against their design philosophy for those in this game. It only works in other games because it’s a super that uses your whole EX bar. The V-skill is too similar to Ryu’s, and also doesn’t have any purpose against a character without a projectile.

Also, you probably don’t need to make Hayate safe because with the increased hitstop you could probably feint cancel it on reaction.
