Interesting. Is it me, or is this basically the game’s tier list? Bison and Ken need to be higher, but that’s basically how I think of this game’s tiers.
I’m not surprised at no Guiles, I think he’s the only character I’d put in bottom tier. It’s like, top tier, high tier, mid tier, and then Guile. That’s not to say he’s useless, he’s competitive, just that it seems like he has almost no winning matchups and fewer decent matchups than anyone else.
I don’t think that’s the tier list though. I don’t think Ryu is the second best character, he’s just the character that gets the most play overall. I also think Fuerte and Ken are better than that showing and I don’t think Sagat is as strong as that showing implies. Sagat’s both the best and one of the easiest characters to use, no surprise that he should get the most spots. And yeah, Sim’s definitely coming up. It’s like this in almost every game he’s in, he seems bad or mid tier at first and then migrates up a couple tiers. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up top 5.

Yeah sometimes SF4 matches are crazy but alot of them are so so,it’s like no1 has good rushdown or runaway. So they stare at eachother…=x

Uh, no. The game is turtle friendly overall. You don’t have to be Japanese to turtle. You have to take into account that Ultra meter doesn’t go away until you waste it.
Not saying it isn’t. Just based on the video’s I’ve been watching the Japanese seem to turtle much more than the Americans.
It’s more like people who don’t suck play like that.
