Can someone please explain 1:31 in the 3rd video to me? Does he cancel his focus into ultra without dashing??

Whoa, and 4:30? Viper did some sort of ultra cancel? I think this is an example of the HJC thing, right? Can someone tell me the commands that were input here? And once again for the final KO in the 3rd vid, is this just a late jumping roundhouse into ultra? Or is there some sort of cancel going on here? I was under the impression that most characters can’t link a jumping attack to ultra because the ultra has too slow startup?

Argh, so much to learn from that 3rd video.

1:31 he is doing an EX move, and canceling it with an Ultra. Not FADCing it, but kara canceling. If you do it fast enough you don’t use the EX stock.

What’s the input for this, and general timing?

there has been a few threads about htis awhile ago. there is the link for you.

I don’t know Viper too well so I can’t tell you exactly what attacks were linked there, but HJC is just a high jump cancel. Viper can cancel certain attacks into a high jump and then quickly cancel the high jump startup into an ultra. The motion is something like qcf, qcf, uf+PPP. As for the jump-in, I don’t think there’s any trick. Some characters can just do that (Chun Li is another one, she can hit her ultra off a deep jump-in double FP with perfect timing).

ne1 got vids from NEC>

i saw someone recording my match vs plural…

Sick Dhalsim!

Sims bnb super combo does a lot of damage.

Yeah, but it seems kind of risky to setup. Still haven’t played the game, but I’ve been compiling Dhalsim info. According to the frame data, you don’t have to do it from a teleport, but I’m assuming it’s ideal, because on limb dependence. It seems this player can setup Dhalsim damage from anywhere, which is why he is a master class Dhalsim. Last I heard there were only 5 or 6 of those in existence, so this guy was good.

And on that subject, who was that Dhalsim play. I can’t read kanji. I know it’s either Tateyama (but he doesn’t play like him), Moichi, or Tatusyao.

I don’t think it was Tateyama, because his Sim is more setup based. Moichi and Tasuyao play more defensive Sims. I’m going to take a wild guess and say it’s probably Moichi, can anyone confirm?

Is it me or all those matches boring as fuck? It seems that in almost every match, the opponents are on opposite sides of the screens. It’s turtling on a grand scale.

Crap no, I thought it was super interesting.

Mmmm, full-screen footsies…

It’s just you.

Dude the beginner matches are boring. Those matches were awesome.

I don’t suppose anyone is going to be taking videos from Nico and put them on Youtube? Nico Video pisses me off ._.

indeed

you can download them with orbit downloader tho, i just tried it today.

it works pretty well too

only bad thing is, all the videos are named smile.flv so you might have to rename them…

I make no claim as to Sagat’s brokenness I’m just pointing out that Henaki is a fucking liar.

i switched to gief btw

Gak! shakes fist

I’ll get at you in SF4 sometime I knew your forum kung fu would be too strong for me…

Zero Guiles? WTF? Anyway, I guess this is an early list. Since there is only 1 Ken, and I know Ken is good enough to be whored. Good look on their being more Dhalsim’s than Ken’s.

Looks like Dhalsim is on the come up in SF4
