as soon as a dizzy occurs the opponent gets knocked down, whether it’s from a knockdown attack or a jab.

Forget Guile and Blanka…Claw winning the whole thing and moreover he is winning it against freaking Blanka :amazed: The doomsday is near

  • you cannot redizzy in this game, so the dizzy signals that ELF has only a few hits of scaled-down guaranteed damage left.

Capcom should add a stun gauge, ala 3S.

calling that loop hard to do is stupid. Give me a few days with fuerte and it won’t be hard then…

the way I see it if you land 80% before you have to play footsie, its a fucking infinite.

The game is still semi new. Give it some time and I promise you people will be bitching about this.

I remember when mvc2 first came out and people were figuring out the tiers, magneto had a 300% loop that would kill all 3 characters but @ the time, people were saying it wasn’t practical because it was too hard to do. Magneto has matchup problems, he can’t land the hit. Now look @ the shit 10 yrs later. Magnus is fucking laughing @ the top of the ladder.

Yeah, but it’s all about setting it up. That’s what people aren’t realizing. That’s a earned hit for him that he has to work for. He still has other good shit and can win half the time without it.

other characters still have to work for the hit but they don’t get loops.

give him better footsie, more priority maybe even tweak his Ex’s a bit but get this I can hit buttons crap outta here. 1 hit kill and genei jin from 3s. IMO, its the same damn thing just slightly different.

It’s really not that hard to set it up. Crossup jumping fierce, baiting a dp/etc, focus attacking through moves, and charging up a full focus all work, and taken together that means there’s a reasonable chance of you being able to set it up. It’s not an infinite and I’m not sure it’s gonna end up broken, but I agree with Shoultzula that we’re all gonna be complaining about it hardcore. It is dumb, after all.

ahe! ahe!! ahe! ahe! ahe! ahe! ahe!.. aaahhhhheeeee! = Dizzy:looney:

El fuerte is sooooo cheesy!

I can’t wait to learn that cheese.

That’s because every other character has good normals and can combo into Ultras and shit.

He has good enough stuff as it is. He has a quick overhead and basically runs at a crackhead speed. You can’t sit there and turtle against him. His only real problem is, if he gets hit, he dies. I’ve played the game enough to know Fuerte has good enough mixup on knockdown to win.

@UltraDavid: Meaty lvl3 Focus is pretty risky depending on the situation and you can backdash away from it and avoid the hit on reaction. His best bet is definitely to FA through a move or wall dive j.fierce or just a plain crossup j.fierce or jump in fierce.

Baiting a DP might work(and it has), but people already know he has this. They’ll definitely be a lot more careful with DPs.

shrug, give it time and there will be bitching. Quote my ass on it.

well whatever, you know what they say in streetfighter, don’t complain…just use it.

ore often than not, Fuerte will get killed before e gets a chance to even set up his infinite. STOP CRYING

:mad::mad::mad: Stop throwing around the i-word, people!

would be nice.

Yeah, sure,so that Fuerete could see how many more punches he needs to land for a stun, lol.

So why should a character’s entire game rely on setting up a loop? I’d rather El Fuerte’s moves actually be good than to have to exploit an oversight.

Oversight? I think it was intended. Why else give him a run cancel with jab?

At least he is unique (although Viper can do feint cancel combos with normals to an extent) and goes against the grain.

I like it.

youd love guilty gear

His whole game doesn’t necessarily rely upon it. He has other tricks and ways of dealing damage. It’s just that it’s his main bnb. He has good moves, that’s the funny part about all of this.

You’re looking way too much into it considering the risk/reward involved in playing Fuerte in the first place. It’s not like RSF is guaranteed on hit and it’s pretty risky to go for that alone against some of the really good chars in the game. The fact that if he even lands a simple knockdown, he gets a free 50/50 with splash crossup.

RSF is not his main game, but it REALLY helps him out if he lands it. You haven’t played the game yet and haven’t played against a Fuerte player that knows what he’s doing in order to even say that he only needs to rely on an exploit to win. And it’s not like you don’t need execution for it. You actually do. It’s basically akin to Lilica’s Heel Kick loop in Arcana Heart. But of course, that’s lost on some of you since you’ve probably never played AH.

EDIT - And yeah, I agree with Magus. Loops aren’t anything new. And it’s not like RSF loop can kill you. Just watch the vids Forgenjuro posted up and tell me that Fuerte player didn’t work hard for his wins? Against Boxer? Really? Against Sagat? Seriously? AND he barely landed RSF loop.

I’m fine with the loop, I just wish it ended after 3-4 hits instead of 6-7. I don’t think Fuerte should be dealing so much damage and dizzy at once, it doesn’t really go with his character design and he doesn’t really need it.
