SF4 @ Chinatown Fair

that nigga hasnt posted since agsf2 days

Thank god for SF4
Mind Games FTW!!!

Using Saving to parry fireballs comes at a high risk, so I wouldn’t do it more than once.

1 dollar a play isn’t too bad considering how expensive the kits were. Everyone should stop being so cheap when it comes to playing in the arcade, they need the full support.

Now if it was 3 dollars like Tekken 6 in Vegas, then everyone has the right to complain.

LMAO, yeah that guy always seemed suspect. I had thought he was the owner of CTF. He threatened to kick me out once years ago when one of the coins I got from him turned out to be different than what CTF uses, and got jammed in a MvC2 machine. Good riddance…though I hope that he wasn’t praying on lil boys because there’s a seriously lopsided male:female ratio over at CTF last I recall.

He wasn’t that bad. Once when I was like 10, I was watching him play Magical Drop II on the big SNK screen (where Inital D is now) and he had to run off and do something, so he gave me the game. A free game is a big deal when your 10 and using more than a dollar is overspending.

How did Huey become the topic of this thread?

Man I can’t wait till Saturday so I can go play this shit.

I was over there for like 5 hours yesterday, 2 of those hours spent on my feet behind that dude with the “Do I look like a FUCKIN people person?” shirt. I didn’t bother playin it since I wanted the 2nd player side to work…plus it was mad funny to talk smack when the comp would beat the player. haha

Yo, IcyCool, who’s that dude in this pic?

He was tellin me and my boy how the game plays way too much like EX and how SFIV doesn’t hold a candle to 3rd Strike. I had to agree with him, I wasn’t really impressed, but that won’t stop me from playin/coppin it.

And this is different to most (all?) other arcades how? :stuck_out_tongue:

re: CTF SFIV

So are both sides working now or what?

excalibah broke and it went into the garbage years ago

You walk down Canal street (away from the arch at the Manhattan bridge) and take a left on Mott Street a few blocks away. CTF is at the end of Mott Street on the left side.

I think I may make the trip to NYC this weekend to check out the CTF scene…

^ Quicker to walk south on Bowery until it meets Mott.
Google Maps

how’s the line been recently, has it been packed?

What time does CF open; i’d like to arrive early as possible to sneak in a game or two before i get stomped.

I’ll be heading down soon to get some games. How did people keep track of the order?
I’ll have a book with me so I/we can mark names down and shit, keep things organized.

You mean at the bowling alley gameroom that used to be on PA’s upper level? If so they shut down the room and made the bowling alley into a club/lounge type bowling alley.

I actually haven’t been inside since the whole place was rebuilt (they have bouncers at the door now lol) but I do believe the game room is gone for good…but I could be wrong. If there is one it’s not accessable without having to go through the main entrance.

Before it left it only had mvc2 and sf3:2i anyways…maybe a couple of others, been so long I can’t remember.

Yeah you’re right, Mott street is narrow and usually packed w/people on the weekends.

Btw, does anyone have a picture of the finished cabinet that Henry made besides the one above. It looks pretty sweet!

Look on page 3 of this thread for a post by me. There’s like 10 pictures.

lol GGPO T.Fox’s wallet

GOGOGOGOGOGO old players

me and serg are droppin by at like 7 tonight.

I will be there when they open on Tuesday. That’s the earliest I can take a vacation day.

And to think I said that I wouldn’t take any days off at my job for gaming.

I’m going there tonight and tomorrow night, but I’m fearing the crowds and lines of tomorrow.
