i was just thinking about akuma stun combos, random. if it’s true that ex red fb can be followed up with dp midscreen, the following should be doable:
jump hk, st hp xx fireball fadc st hp xx ex red fireball, ex dp
–damage: 100+100+(60×.8)+(100×.7)+((47×3)×.6)+(190×.5) = 498
–stun: 200+200+(100×.8)+(200×.7)+(270×.6)+(200×.5) = 882

You are not factoring in the juggle state reduction from EX redball which prunes the total DP hits from 3 down to 1. As such, you can only collect one hit from the final DP, EX or ortherwise.
j.hk > cs.hp xx ball FADC > cs.hp xx EX redball > EX DP = 430 dmg/789 stun.
j.hk > cs.hp xx ball FADC > cs.hp xx EX redball > HP DP = 420 dmg/779 stun*
Only possible in the corner unless there are some characters with a wide enough hurtbox that the final regular DP connects on mid-screen.
I saw the top 8 from CEO last night and I was really intrigued by Infiltration’s BnB against Chris G so I did some lab work on my own and here’s the stats on the combos plus a lil extra.
cr.lk, st.lp, far hp, L tatsu, hp srk. (266 dmg/398 stun)
…, …, cl.hp, …, … (277 dmg/398 stun)forces stand
Far st.hk, st.lp, far st.hp, L tatsu, hp srk (321 dmg/535 stun)
Adding and extra jab to the first one will decrease by 12 pts of dmg (254), and 13 pts. of stun (385).
My execution isn’t the best because I really wanted to add in the far st.hk off of cr.mp counter hit so if anyone want to chime in with that I would love to know. I haven’t added anything in here just happy to contribute. Keep playin my demons.
Thanks. What are your thoughts on Akuma? I’m trying to figure out who I should be playing. Its between Akuma, Ryu, Ken, Oni or Juri. I’ve been playing Ryu to learn the game.

Also, what’s a counterhit combo? I’m also trying to figure out how to combo into his ultra.
To be honest there are only about 3 combos you need to absolutely learn. They all pretty much involve doing a few hits and ending the combo with LK Tatsu.
Learn how to combo a few light punches into LK tatsu > etc.
Learn how to do HP > Fireball > FADC > HP > LK Tatsu > etc.
Learn how to link s.HK > c.LP > LK Tatsu > etc.
If you learn those three that will get you started.
When you get a counter hit you have additional frame advantage which allows you to do combos that wouldn’t work under normal conditions. For instance if you do c.MP and try to combo it into s.HK it won’t work because there isn’t enough hit stun on the c.MP. But if the c.MP lands counter hit you can combo the s.HK because there is extra hit stun from the c.MP.
To combo using U2 you have to cancel into the teleport and then cancel into the ultra.

I have the game on all 3 platforms so its not an issue which one you use. Playing with people who are closer to you really do make a difference. Hell, when I play with people in the same city as me I literally feel like they are right next to me. No lag whatsoever.
I’ll try those combos out. I actually bought the digital version of the Ultra Street Fighter IV bible by Brady Games and its FRICKEN AMAZING. It doesn’t have every combo (of course) but it has some really great ones and different possibilities for each. I wanted the digital version because I play SF4 on my PC monitor and I have a second one right next to me. That way I can have the combos up on the adjacent screen while I’m playing on my no lag PC gaming monitor. Makes things easier than trying to keep the book open on my lap.
I don’t go to Dibbz as much any more since they haven’t had regular fight nights in a while, but we do have events over here in Baton Rouge. On every Monday we have casuals locally at a bar call The Cove and the first Sunday of every month we have a tournament at the same location.
I’m always there on Mondays if you ever feel like making the drive up. It starts at 6 PM and goes past 12 AM.
If you want to learn Akuma I can teach you just about anything you want. I’ve been playing him for 5 years and placing at tournaments with him.
Ever play online? Since you’re so close we could get on headset and play online with no lag whatsoever. I’d love to get online with you. We could even skype if your PC is near you for better sound.
lol. To be honest I understand if people can’t make it from NOLA. It’s kinda of an annoying drive for a weekly event. I wouldn’t always drive down every Friday when we still had the regular meet ups.

What’s your XBL? You say you get bad habits but there’s literally no difference between online in BR / Nola and sitting in person. There’s just no lag. I’d love to pick your brain about some other stuff. I’m really trying to figure out what character to play. I’ve been doing Ryu to learn the game and I’m ready to branch out I think. I bought the Brady Games SF4 Bible and it has some good combo info I think, but some people on reddit say that its horrible. I just need a place to find some really good BNB combos so I can learn enough about the characters to get a feel, then go for more complicated stuff.
Anyway, I’d love to get online with you now if you wanted to. Keep in mind I’m new and suck. I’m really interested in learning as much about the game as possible. I think it would be really cool to just sit in the training room for an hour and shoot the shit while you show me some neat akuma stuff and tell me about the character so that I could learn about him. If you have time, that is. What kind of stick do you use?
Also, what’s the best way to get the red fireball to hit all 3 times? The combo I’m doing is either jump HK or the DP kick thing (DP kick does less dmg then jump HK) into HP, L hurricane kick, H DP all 3 hits then FDAC into the red fireball. It doesn’t always hit all 3 times. Should I cancel the DP sooner?
Also, what’s your recommendation for the best way to consistently FDAC? Someone on reddit said I should just hit the MP/MK button + forward twice, instead of holding them and hitting forward twice. If I hold them either it doesn’t always work or when I release them a DP comes out. Also, for whatever reason I have issues consistently getting the DP to come out after the L hurricane kick.

EDIT: Also, Akuma’s timings are different than Ryu’s. I’m having an extremely hard time consistently linking cr.mp x cr.mp or cr.mp x st.hp. Any advice?
EDIT 2: Also (x2) it doesn’t seem possible to link cr.mp, cr.mp, st.hp. The character gets too far away. That being the case why would I ever do cr.mp, cr.mp? It does a good bit less damage than cr.mp, cr.hp!
EDIT 3: Okay, wtf. So I just found out that st.mp does more dmg than cr.mp. Also, for whatever reason I can’t cr.mp, st.hp on hakan. I just can’t do it; doesn’t work. So why ever cr.mp, cr.mp when I can cr.mp , st.mp or cr.mp, st.hp?
juggle property rules what you can do with a flying body in this game.
HP dp full hits only let you connect 1 follow up hit that have juggle property such as Red ball. So you’ll never connect red ball 3 hits, from a 3 hits previous DP.
It’s either LP DP into full HP red ball, or full HP DP into LP red Ball.
