and click on “KOREAN SF2CE JUNGIN-ARCADE LIVE!!”. hopefully you’ve got a program that handles mms streams.

It’s going on right now

THANK YOU SO MUCH. :lovin:

this arcade streaming is so awesome… every fighting game should have this thing

ya they should, very cool to see how people play, I love it when you see someone just dominate.

Laugh: I play gief, guile is a hard match not impossible ( I also play guile and a little ken) its a extremly hard match but sagat is no harder. If you get one tick on sagat or guile the round is won, its getting that one tick that is hard. You can SPD bison out of his scissor kicks chain, on the recovery of his scissor kicks which is not hard to do (I almost hit it everytime). To be honest no match is impossible, there are very hard matches but they are not impossible.

to beat guile with gief:

use his lariet(sp?) and trade hit with any of his low moves with c.HK it trades and you can get a little closer to him. push him into the corner, if you are very good at predicting people you can, jump (hold down) LK-SPD. it hard and takes alot longer but when you see guile in a SPD its all worth it.

As far as counter picking goes for CE, i can see where some might be coming from when they say no counter picking, but the reality is that just a handful of characters do so well against the rest of the cast there the only ones worth picking, and any matches between the lower tier characters are neglible.

Top Tier
Bison, Guile

Middle Tier
Ryu, Sagat, Ken

Bottom
Everyone else

To Hurricane

Now when you watching the matches on the live broadcast, they are just casual matches, and thus not be taken as the end all of everything. Since its commonly known Bison is the best in the game, alot of people will play him, to give themselves a head start, But that doesn’t mean they are necessarily good with them. Also consider this, no character has a perfect matchup. Even Bison can lose. Maybe that one game you saw, the Gief played a perfect game and out played the Bison player.

OK we have to stop flaming this thread lol

but man you can play anyone thus no tiers, you can say that the “tiers” you listed are how easy the characters are to play as. Gief can beat bison and guile, you must out think the other person which is very hard, think 2 steps ahead so to speak. But I played a bison as gief, (no offence to bison players) are usually predictable so it is usually easy to out think them. you can SPD out of any of his moves, dont stick out any move enless you know it will hit or trade, bait things and make them do stupid things.

like i said before. those tiers you listed are how easy the characters are to play not how good they are, I would argree with you if you said that any char. can beat any character but the “tier” you said (again with me repeating myself lol) are how easy there are to play as.

EDIT: after talking to Graham for to long (lol) I will give ST a chance AKA play gief the same way + banishing hand. but i wont say anything about ST untill i play it again.

My tier list is based on how much characters win over the others not how easy to play. If 2 players equal in skill played eachother, 1 was Guile and the other was Gief, then the Guile would win more. Thats how tiers work. The characters with the more favorable matchups are at the top and the characters with the least at the bottom.

Let me put it another way. If Bison is played to as best as he can possibly be played and Zangeief is played as best as he can possibly be played. Then Bison will win more, as hes a better character

Just out of curiousity what Bison players have you played? Your friends? your Brothers? Untill you actually play a good player who uses that character then you can’t base your opinion from that 1 person you played against.

And just to see how smart(or dumb) you are, what are Geifs best and worst matches in CE?

Also whats your position on AE. Since you seem to think there are no tiers in CE, does that mean theres no tiers in AE?

AE is not the same as arcade CE, dont want to do into diffrences but there are differnaces, guile is his hardest match sagat is above adverage hard, pretty much any match is playable but hard, i find shotos pretty easy and blanca hard

guile
blanca
sagat

probobly not sure but seriously stop flaming this thread talk to me on AIM if you want to argue.

and AE does because it has 5 versions of SF2

WW guile ftw

you cant ask others to quit ‘debating’ when you yourself dont. Its how communication works.

On another note i understand your reasons behind what you believe. But i think that you’re not using a logical way of supporting your argument, and you’re writing off other peoples arguments without proper reason.

Bottom line is this, the game is no different from any other fighting game. In the years since the first competitive fighting game there has been a set of rules people use to break down the game. These rules include tiers, counter characters etc. These rules exist despite your like/dislike for a game. What i mean when i say this is that even though you might think champion edition is the coolest game. It still has tiers, strong characters/weak characters. A character CAN win a match, but what people generally use in their theoretical arguments is that the supposed match is being played by two equally skilled players on an expert level.

Before responding, consider everything i said and dont respond with your emotions but rather your logical side.

i had a long chat with him on AIM, its totally pointless Graham. He aint going to listen to reason. And he contradicted himself so many times, i just gave up.

Is this from a tournament or live from the arcade? i just got on and the time looks like it says 1:30 and the screen is dark, what time is this on?

FMJ :
from arcade live.

JungIn arcade opens : 08:00~24:00 (New York 19:00~13:00)

*there’re 5 cabs of sf2ce, but only 3 cabs are connected to a selector,
so you could see 3 sf2ce cabs of live-broadcasting.
(sure, the selector is connected to the media server.)

well now it’s not up, they doing setup or something?

EDIT: NM I see it now

It’s up but playing choppy for me. And there’s no sound.

let’s see…
if there’s a very balanced game,
i’m not gonna see or play that. is it a game?
do every characters have uniformed conditions?

think about this.
in boxing,if a play fight with mike tyson,
does he have to had nuclear punch like tyson?

players have various different types of his situations and skills to play
and most of all, the state of fighting time.
but sure, most sports game need its weight,
we can compare it power of punch in fighting games.
in my thought, it’s ok to sf2ce.

example, it seems that chun li is very weak character of others
but our best chun li player is hard to win fight with even bison or guile.
i want to say that most of players don’t know how to play and whatching a fighting chun li.

yes…same to me.
seems that i have to check the server
but i can’t go the arcade now.
maybe 4~5 times later.
sorry for that.

and don’t mind, there’re few players in the morning.
(new york : pm 7 ~ am 2)

  • i think you better whatch the live in the morning if you live in the east of united state.

It seems that we have to reinstall the system.
(The server stops 2~3 times in a day.)
And we’re not going to use ‘windows media encoder’ no more.
Because it can hold only 5 clients.
(We bought a media program on internet)

:wtf: AH-DUR?

no need to be so rude to our kind guest.
you have to consider his english skills, so what you read might not be the message he is trying to say.
