August 18~19, the 1st Chinese sf2ce Tourn will be held in Shanghai.
Three Korean player ready to join for guests. And we support some like gaming rule, jotsicks(American style(not Japanese type-it’s shaped like lollipop) ; I’m not sure these could be work properly in China.) and sf2ce mainbords of original world version(because it’s too hard to get in China).
I’m going to Shanghai,China - Saturday next week by ship; it will be take 3 days to get there.
And we will talk a lot about ‘sf2ce wolrd toun’. Fortunatly, a player of good speaking at Chinese is already stay in Shanghai, so we could talk much with Chinese players.
I want to live_broadcast this tourn but it’s being an almost impossible project.
There’re a lot of things to prepare and it’s hard to work that connect sf2ce mainboard to a computer.

You guys should consider getting st in your arcade too and playing that. There is a big following of st in japan and its becoming popular again in the US. Its the game to play if you want worldwide competition =) and id love to play you guys in that, i can play ce too but honestly i prefer the speed to add danger to the matches.
thats funny those are the reasons I play CE’. One thing I like about ST is being able to tech throws. But Graham look back into this thread he says why he doesnt like ST and any other versions of ST. I think if there was any Street Fighter World Tournament it should be sf2ce as it is the fairest game of all street fighters, no tiers, no counter picking.

Laugh: You know nothing of CE’, you say bison and guile are cheap. BOTH ARE BEAT ABLE just because you have to think to play this game does not mean it is unfair. guile is easy to play as, thats why lots of people play as him. Bison as one cheap thing that is hard to get on someone when thats the only thing bison can do, so everyone expects it. It is the fairest (IMO) because there is no counter picking. ST has counter picking and so does 3s but that does not mean they are bad games. Plus we said CE’ was the fairest street fighter game i never said it was the fairest fighter. You can play ST I wont judge you for that, but to say its better then CE’ when you have never played the game, thats when I start saying shit. I’ve played ST and dont like it. CE allows you to think,and play as the character you like. Play in a CE’ cab for 1 year then judge the game.
Actually this is the most wrong speech ive seen yet for this game. I started sf2 back when i was a kid, and the FIRST day it came out. I played ce version competitively and with the best players in the US. Ill say after coming to milpitas golfland and sunnyvale golfland i immediately realized how broken this game was. Bison dominated , one character could beat him and that was guile, even then guile still lost. Bison is the most broken char in ANY sf2 game, which is why AE is such a broken game now. This alone ruined CE, but besides that there are TONS of character counter matches. Want to know how to beat guile? pick ryu. How do you beat every char? pick bison. This game was the most unbalanced version of sf2 because it was still in its infancy, even worse than ww, and i say this because of ce bison. The second year for a game whose genre had just come out 1 year before hand and was still in its baby stages.
I played CE for its entirety, infact i BOUGHT the arcade machine when ce came out, yes 4000 at the time in US Dollars. The weekly tourneys top 8 consisted of bison vs bison or vs guile. Nothing else really.
The reason us old timers in the US play ST over the other 4 is because its by far the most balanced of the original 5, they had 4 other versions to improve upon. Has the most depth, and counter character isnt as big an issue in ST as it was in CE.
You want a list of fairest sf2s (first 5)? ST most balanced, HF second, Super, WW, CE is last, you prolyl think how is CE worse than ww? ce bison answers that question.
Want a list of imbalances that CE excels in? 2 hit dizzy, alot of chars had redizzy, tick throwing was too easy to pull off. Ryu’s hurricane kick had invincibility in start and finish. The slow speed is ugly as well.
SF2CEKorea guy, dont take my post the wrong way, i love how you guys play the game still, but i am just refuting the guy aboves argument. I think its great that you guys play sf2 still and hope you continue for a long time and maybe someday our paths may cross =)
watch CE’ live man there are lots of bisons, they all lose and to who? oh wait gief,ken,ryu,guile,dhalsim, sagat, vega,honda,chun,barlog,blanca(if they played him over there 
). Its just IYO that this game is broken but its not. Learn the distances of things. How does bison get on you? get either do 1) scissor kicks or 2) head-press. everone has an answer both of these. but I am done argueing which is fairer as it is all oppoion.
but one more thing before i go. there is no counter picking in CE’ you maybe 24 years older then me and been playing the game sence the day it came out but that is the last thing CE’ has, counter picking. It doesnt matter what ameicans think because they are all lazy and dont want to find a way around bisons “redizzies and chip kills” when a 14 year old finds a way around it the second time he plays a bison, you know your lazy.
