Ultras don’t really make characters anymore like they did in Vanilla. Fundamentals are more important in this game and Poongko excels at those. Plus Seth’s mix ups and combo potential way add up for not having scary ultras. If they’re nerfing ultra 1 the decision won’t be that dumb any way. Poongko’s learned how to play the close game and close the gap on pretty much any character. He’ll even rushdown Zangief if he lands a hard knockdown on him.
Ultra 2 basically is a game sealer for Seth as well. It basically makes it so if he forces you down to less than 10 percent health and gets in your face he will pretty much automatically win the game by throwing out the ultra and letting it chip you to death.
Poongko is most of the reason I believe Seth will succeed despite his nerfs. Seth has a lot of tools for any situation and someone who is smart will put those tools together to make him a respectable character. If you’re not a high high level player there’s no reason to play Seth other than to fuck around because it won’t pay off at all and gives a false image of the strength of the character. Not to say that he’s not a risky character but a high level player will be able to cover those holes and make him a character that is extremely difficult to land hits on while easily being able to open up his opponents.

I guess Capcom do listen to whining scrubs (who make up large % of SSF4 purchase), but they took the phrase “Grow some balls and stop running” too seriously. Very seriously.
Well he got upgrade in a certain area.
I would be ok with the outfit if it didn’t have the penis and nipples look alike things.
Seth is already naked so I guess they looked to enhance his naked appearance.

Nah, if they listened to whining like that Capcom would have made a turtle costume for Guile. Or maybe the majority of these whiners are salty Guile players that don’t like getting out turtled. Who knows.
In any case I actually kinda like the serious tin look on his face. I can tolerate the tubes and crotch tumor. Wonder what the arms are gonna look like stretched.
