Seth Moveset and Attributes

Scratch what I said about the 460 dmg, he added a j.HK before the cr.HP

fail

I’ve been playing Super for the last week, and to be honest, the behavior pattern of my opponents change completely depending on which Ultra I use.

I’m sorry to say, but 340+Free Combo from Ultra 1, and the sheer utility of denying any character the ability to jump in at you or throw a fireball is just too damn useful.

The teleport nerf was bad enough that escape is now more difficult (I actually have to block instead), but comboing into my Ultra is still fine. I think it’s definitely cool to see the things people are finding so keep up the good work guys. I will contribute as much as I can, but I’ll be adding a “Super 4” section to the Seth Handbook now with all the changes to Seth as a character (Nerfs and such), set-ups into the Tanden Typhoon, Opinions regarding the 2 Ultras and which to pick based on Match-up, and which match-ups changed.

Edit:

You’re on the money, the difference in falling speed is what makes it whiff in those situations.

Is Seth’s EX SPD range decreased in Super? It felt like it.

  1. (Corner only) deep jump-in HK > cr.HP > HK Legs > UC 2 does 504 damage (514 damage with neutral jump + HK) with full ultra meter.

  2. (Mid-Screen) jump HK > cr.HP > j.mp (x1) > EX-SRK (full hits) > UC 2 does anywhere from 404-426 damage depending on how early or late you time your UC2 after the EX SRK.

Hey folks, I don’t know if this been discussed in this thread or not as it’s fairly long thread even on my settings (and I’m lazy and cba to read it all)…
but anyways SPD SHORTCUTTTTTTTT for SSFIV

:hcb::ub:+:lp: (well any punch of your choice that is :lp::mp::hp::2p:)
or :hcf::uf:+:lp:

It was also in Vanilla.

ahhhh lol I never knew I was doing full execution. lol I’m such a poor bastard eh? lolol

It’s alright, we forgive you.

Yeah. Before I was on stick, on the DS3 analog, I kept doing that thing instead of a Sonic Boom. It was hilarious (Not really, since I kept hugging fireballs or thin air)

is EX SPD hit immune like zangi/abel?

This probably isn’t a particularly helpful note about Seth’s moveset, but it is hilarious. Today I used a LP super to completely go through Seth’s ultra 2 in a mirror match, didn’t take a shred of damage and zapped him with the final hit from the super for the K.O… then fell on the floor laughing.

I started the super and he countered with the ultra.

Really? Wow, you should upload the replay man. I had a giggle today twice when I did around 50 seconds of perfect zoning and countering and got a dizzy on a Cody. Went up and crossed under him for a c.lk, he did an ultra. The damage delt was equal ):

Did the same exact thing against a Blanka. Lesson: You catch plenty of fish online just be sure to bait.

Lesson for all of you. ibuki is a fucking retarded bitch. When punishing a Fullscreen ex.Kazegiri (lol, wtf why?) The Tanden Stream went under her loli ass while she flipped over it. Fuck her. I just dropped the controller right there.

Seths Super being beaten by EX fireballs is so lame.

I had a mirror match with Garuda-kun yesterday and we both did ultra1 at the same time and it negated eachother, that was some dragonball z shit right there.

My post disappeared, wtf… anyways since when has st.cl.HK been super cancellable? I just found out.

First hit has always been super cancellable.

Warlike: if you counter ultra a frame or more after though, your ultra will win out.

…it was one of his trials in vanilla, just it’s not useful.

Like… I thought the trial was meant for you to do st.cl.hk>cr.mp xx Super
In retrospect i guess that if cr.mp wasn’t listed, there was a reason for it…

Learn something everyday.

Yeah, they changed the trial a bit for super, though it’s still just as useless. Though I guess maybe it sharpens your general execution a little.
