Seth Moveset and Attributes

I know you can do shoryu x3 -> lp super. Maybe you can do shoryu x3 -> ultra? Doubtful but worth trying.

Edit: EX shoryu x3 -> ultra might work. You definitely have enough time. Just depends on whether it will juggle or not.

Simply doing c.HP -> ultra might work? It will most definitely work in the corner. And s.HP xx (ex) sonic boom xx FADC -> ultra might work as well.

Low fierce into UC2 likely works due to the vacuum property of the ultra, but low fierce xx jab dp, uc2 likely does signfinicantly more damage.

Notice trade jab DP does NOT make Seth flip out like Ryu and Sagat’s do now. Trade DP straight into UC2 is crap damage, but like I expected you have time to dash ultra instead for another 100 damage. Also notice that a clean jab DP leads into UC2 anyway for roughly the same damage as trading and dashing.

Oh my god, Ultra after Legs in corner is hot.

cr.HP xx lp.SRk > Tanden Typhoon does 460, which is nice.

This Ultra is looking good for Seth. So many ways to set people up for the stomps combos and this still combos after a trade DP! awesome!

I get this game tomorrow, so I can help confirm some stuff about seth and his nerfs.

Ultra 2 is looking much better than Ultra 1, with his teleport nerf and fireball trap gone.

From the looks of it, U1 is probably going to be outdone by U2.

Now that ultra 1 is nerfed to hell, definitley.

Actually, as soon as all of these setups get tested I’ll put them in the combo thread.

^ It SHOULD work, since it can hit in juggle state, and the U2 is faster than EX tanden. Logically yes.

Juggle is kind of weird, perhaps if you wait a little longer to activate it will juggle for more hits.

i figure you’d have to wait pretty long with the juggled body so up high for more dmg.

Is there a trick to DP FADC ultra? I have trouble inputting the double qcb because the opponent switches sides above my head. Do you have enough time to wait for them to fall a bit and then do the motion to ultra?

Input QCFx2 on most characters during the dash and the game will autocorrect.

I don’t think there is. I was hitting it consistently when I was playing it last night minus the two times I got Teleport :slight_smile:

If there was pause, it was very slight. I don’t think I ever had the opponent switch sides on me though after FADC Shoryu xx Ultra 2.

I think I was doing FADC xx (slight slight pause) dash twice xx Ultra 2. Though the timing felt a lot like Ryu’s FADC Shoryu xx Ultra, as I didn’t feel like I was doing it any faster or slower than that.

I haven’t gotten that one over 310, if it doesn’t whiff. Are you doing this in corner?

Most damaging typhoon combo i have found so far is:** Jumpin HK, HPxxSonic Boom>FADC>HPxxEX SRK (6 or 7 hits), pause, Typhoon.** Got me 450 damage in the corner. Typhoon damage after EX SRK depends very much on timing. You can do it while opponent is still off-screen but then you get less hits, you can also wait for when you see you opponent enter the screen again, gets you more hits. you can wait a heartbeat later still, but anything after that makes it whiff (even though when you do U2 after legs in corner they are at head hight and after EX SRK you will still whiff if you wait too long even if they’re still higher than head hight…weird juggle properties or difference in falling speed?)

nj.hk > s.hp xx ex srk (x7) > ex tanden > c.hp > ultra1

used to be Seth’s most damaging combo doing 517 damage, so I’m guessing something like:

nj.hk > s.hp xx ex srk (x7) > ex tanden > s.hp > c.mp xx legs > ultra2

will be his most damaging combo in super. The game isn’t out till Friday here though so I can’t test it, though if anyone else wants to I’d like to know how much damage that does.

Gonna hop into training and try that one out, but mine is 3 bar combo yours is 4, when i find myself with 4 bars i usually go for j.HK, HPxxSonic Boom>FADC>HPxxSonic Boom>FADC>HPxxLegs, (+ headstomps+divekick when in corner) because you get lots of damage, 1000 stun if you connect SPD after it, and still have your ultra =)

EDIT: miscalculaterd, yours is 3 bars as well =)

EDIT 2: Well it works and i got 490 damage out of it, which is nice =)

EDIT 3: Well even easier in the corner is j.HK, HPxxSonic Boom>FADC>HPxxLegs, Ultra, costs only 2 bars and gives you 486 damage =D
