The only thing I can say against Bison is that I’m used to jumping forward at him every time he does a headstomp or a devil’s reverse. i just jump forward and do j.mp, it’ll usually beat it. Even Sakura can beat that with a normal jumping attack.
If your reaction time is good enough jump forwards j.mp beats even EX Headstomp.

Do not try to approach him at all. Stay back and be lame. Throw as many Sonic Booms as possible and j.hp. Then when you get a knockdown apply mad wakeup pressure because flash kick sucks.
You can ultra sonic boom if your reaction time is really good (offline).

But you can believe what I say or not. I try to anyways.
Dhalsim has better zoning tools than Seth so I would suggest finding the right timing to rush in.
Seth seems to have the advantage close ranged. Also you gonna have to play the range game against Sim as well.
Once you in try to stay in applying mix-ups and pressure. Be prepare to punish teleport if u can as well when you knock him down.
For Dictator, Seth’s neutral jump RH is really good.
It beats out a lot of Bison’s jump-in’s clean as well as Whiffed Headstomps (EX and Normal)
I have a lot to write up for the Seth Vs. Dhalsim match-up, I have played a lot of matches vs. Jason “A-Dhalsim” Cole and Francis “Awesome Jones” Acacio (The two best Dhalsim’s in the NW), so I’m really putting time into getting all the info on paper. Sadly I won’t be posting it till I’m done with the Seth Handbook.
Speaking of, I’d love it if people would give me a hand with this, I’ve already got 6/10 Chapters done. I could use a hand getting more info on personal experience on match-ups, and gimmicks/tricks people use in particular match-ups.
Wonder_chef I’d like to add a TIP for the Seth vs. Zangief setup.
Jumping HP will always beat out The Lariet when doing it on Take off but not decending or crest.
So basically on the way up as soon as you jump hit the HP button. if you do it at the top of the jump or on the way back down you will get the short end of the stick.
I can only add a little tip(I’ve only been playing with seth for almost a month now):
Against gief, neutral jumping MP will beat the lariat almost like Honda’s neutral HP(that means, at the right distance and if the lariat has already begun).

After blocking the low part of his ultra you can reversal ultra or hp shoryuken. If you block the ultra punish with reversal lp tandem -> cr.hp combo. If you block the crossup ultra you have to punish with delayed hk hyakuretsu, mp super, or ultra.
Crouching strong beats horizontal ball and so does mash jab.
Blanka pokes you can punish on block with lp super (and are pokes that people actually use):

Don’t jump anywhere on the screen if Blanka has charge, it’s a free vertical ball.
How do you guys feel about fighting Akuma? I’m very new to Seth.

Could anyone please write “you are FUCKED.” In the Gen section? Please? I seriously don’t know what I can do against him in Super. his Maximum Spider is the perfect punish for everything… I’m seriously thinking of not giving a fuck about this match-up… Starting to get desperate.

Had a session with a couple of my friends last night. Found out that Ibuki’s Raida will punish Seth’s Full Screen Wall Jump. Not that you should be jumping full screen all the time with Seth (though I feel the percentage is more without Teleport being good), but Raida beats out Wall Dive Headstomp, rh, j.mp anything out clean.
Even then, Seth has a lot of ways to get out of the vortex (for now…)
Ibuki’s non-EX slide punishes sonic boom at basically full screen so you can’t throw Sonic Booms at Ibuki either.
Yup Ibuki can punish a Sonic Boom on reaction very easily with her neck breaker, I don’t know the rest of the match up, but not being able to throw Sonic Booms at all is not good. When Ibuki is more fully explored and people start playing her to her potential I think she is gonna be one of the best characters in the game and certainly a nightmare for Seth

I play Ibuki so I post some early tips against her.
Her kunai throw has delay. You could maybe teleport or throw an arm out there when she does it.
Neck breaker goes under projectile so you have to be careful when doing sonic booms.
Generally you want to do them from a good distance.
Vortex can be avoided my slow teleport, EX shoryu and U2.
I suggest using U2 as it could be a free get out of Vortex card.

Thanks for all the tips k4polo. I’ve been messing around with U1 in the Ibuki matchup to punish Kunais and to bait Neckbreaker. U2 does a crapton of damage on Ibuki though if you time it right (the Cyclone has different levels of hits is what I was told)
Also Ibuki’s Raida will grab Seth’s j.hp out of the air. Ugh
