Most of the local good Ibuki players around here know that Ibuki kills Seth pretty quickly. I’ve never had a good Ibuki player jump-back Kunai me unless they were trying to chip me out.
Oialt, sometimes the best option is just to be patient and block correctly. Absolutely do not get teleport-happy. Good Ibuki players will OS Neckbreaker that shit all day.
Dontdodat, I haven’t tried that but I know that Ibuki’s EX Kunai keeps her above U1, making it whiff. One of the huge reasons why I never pick U1 against Ibuki. Gets baited like Viper with EX Burn Kick or Ryu’s EX Tatsu.
you can use u1 against runaway kunai if timed properly, as soon as you see her throw a non ex kunai.
its the same against akuma. ur not gonna just throw out ultras when they jump back.
teleport is useful when mixing up wakeup but you shouldnt be falling down in the first place. yes good ibukis will kill seth but thats only after seth falls. she has no way to get to seth other than slide and other stuff you can clearly see and counter.
yes teleport happy is a nono against any character period i agree but its still an option in between the chaos. once your opponent gets smart about beating out your teleport then adjust.
and its really your safest bet against her wakeup game or at least as equally beatable as any other option seth has. srks wiff. backdash can get hit. jump out gets hit. blocking is fishy. ex legs is hard to time. spd gets his with kunai. ultra works but if you dont have it??
i fully agree that patience is the key. block and counter as much as you can.
yes!! seems like seths nerfs arent too bad. U1 seems to be traded with a fb but maybe theres a way to time it so the fireball wiffs at a certain part of the animation. i hope they didnt change the stomps hitbox since it wasnt said in the latest posting. more life and more stun!!! yay!
Ibuki has below average health so I suppose U2 is better ultra choice as a chip set up? Does she have viable escape options? I’m clueless about new characters, I wont get a chance to play until at least tomorrow.
Definitely not THAT bad. Reminds me of any other heavy mix up character vs seth. Whoever gets their offense going first generally wins. Seth can run away for a long time but just never throw FB’s
Dudley - Seth is probably 6-4 to Mr. Diddles. His mixup pressure is pretty sick, I just play pussy Seth the whole match to win and wait for a cheeky knockdown and stuff his DP’s with lows.
I agree with this. I do think the match feels slightly in favor of Dudley.
Can’t rely a bunch on j.hp to zone, since Dudley’s j.rh (?) and j.fp tag that shit all the time. Also though it’s completely random, it’s smart for a Dudley player to throw out Counter/EX-Counter guesses against a Seth that is Dive Kick/Headstomp heavy.
