Yeah, I only played ranked in about the first week of getting the game, stopped when I got to ~5500bp and a few months on I’m still 4th in Europe afaik :
Yeah, it’s insane how few people we have. Not only that, most of the ppl near the top of the leaderboard are from Japan.
I was number one in Europe for a time. BP don’t really mean much though. SSFIV is so different online, compared to offline. I just can’t wait for Casino to get SSFIV.
well the top seth is a guy named auy from Japan but he literally went from 18000 to 28000 bp in like 2 days. I really think it was a boost cuz ive seen his game and ive seen way better seths.
Yea bp aint much but i like felling like ive achieved alil more when earning bp. like a measurement on how much my skill is growing… numbered measure per say. I sucked back in vanilla but seths nerfs have made me use him in smarter and harder ways like actually comboing and adding mind games instead of teleporting and spaming srk hahaha.
have u guys gone back to vanilla to see your old replays. its hilarious when compared to now since it feels like a totally different player is behind the controller. lol
who or what is casino?
An arcade in London.
Again, about BP; I have less BP now then I did about 3 months ago. But I am a much better player than I was 3 months ago. Don’t aim for BP, aim to improve your game and the BP will come, if you play online enough (unlike me). Like I said earlier online is different from offline play and I’d much rather play offline, but if that option is not available for you due to a lack of a local scene or players, then online is fine. Just make sure you have a good internet connection, host the games yourself and search for local games. None of this will eliminate lag, but it will improve the situation.
Going to a Ranbat tomorrow, so hopefully I’m on the Capcard station and get some vids up.
Sweet. You going with Seth all the way yeah?
Man ima take that advice. I stuck to pure endless yesterday and i had alot more fun without the bp pressure on my back. It feels good getting alot of wins ina row. And endless seems alot more fun.
Good luck Yunghove. I cant wait to see a seth rock a tourney. Please post up a link to the stream or recordings if u could.
It’ll be recorded, and yeah, Seth all the way. I got a couple vids on youtube from the last ranbat, but 1 video I was using Bison because my friend wanted me to, then I used Seth.

You seemed really tentative in those games. There were times you could have dashed forward and lp DP’ed him. At the very least you would have traded into stomps.
And your THawk opponent has to do a better job of watching your meter so he know not to jump your FADC’ed booms. He kept falling for it over and over.
I just spent about 2 hours on this so REALLY can’t be bothered to format it right now, though I tested every character in training mode for if…
c.lk > s.lk
connects when crouching
c.lk > s.lk > s.hp
combos consistently
c.lk > s.lp > s.hp
combos consistently
c.hp xx lp.srk > stomps works from a jump in hk and crossup hk, and if not, if
c.hp xx lp.srk x2 > stomps works from a jump in hk and crossup hk
odd timing needed to land hp.srk FADC stomps?
can you connect hp.srk FADC ultra2 every time (as long as you delay its execution slightly) without worrying about auto corrected inputs?
and also added relevant info for all characters on how they can escape chip death from ultra 2 (which is information I took from Zaith).
If information isn’t listed under a character name it’s because it’s the same as ryu…

is seth vs fuerte worth learning or should I just stick with Hawk/Blanka for that matchup? Ive practically made Seth my main now adays
Up to you. I believe the match is in Seth’s favour, though it’s at least even.
Make your Seth as strong as possible so you never have to rely on other characters… that’s what I’m trying to do.
Yunghove i finally understand the difference from a chain and a link. and i know why the top jap seth players choose to do c.lp c.lp c.lp lklegs = HIT CONFIRM
basic info:

hit confirm:

Ehh, the c.lp c.lp c.lp xx legs can still be shoryu’d, but that’s why you hit confirm the first 2 c.lp, and if it hit’s link the c.lp or the c.mp.
Glad I can help.
There is no reason, it’s just an easy mode combo (not that the c.mp link is really harder).
Yes. Predictable j. HP can be caught with EX Guac to get you knocked down. If you teleport when a Fuerte does a safe j. HP the Fuerte can OS a run slide and it’ll catch your teleport. It’s a bit harder to zone Fuerte if they’re good enough to know what you’ll do.
