Rose’s U2 is complete bullshit. It recovers instantly as far as I can tell. Completely safe and leads to a 400 damage combo if the first orb hits. You can EX SPD her if she does it on wakeup, but she can still jump out of it.

Hmm… if you do Full screen tanden and she blocks it, she can just dash forward and punish you with Balls and a free combo.
if you do Fulscreen tanden and she jumps over it on reaction (i don’t know if you noticed, but Seth turning a different color is kinda easy to see), she lands free from the tanden and just needs to dash>Combo.
Of course, this is all situational and assuming the Rose reacts to the tanden. But… yeah.
No. tandem is dangerous. Safest move to do is ex boom. If blocked the booms still collide with orbs to cancel them out. But time the boom so she won’t jump or if she jumps she can land on it. If she DOES manage to jump it then s.hp stretch to catch her fall. Most of the time rose won’t jump twice or block after jumping a boom cuz shell try to run at u asap so s.hp surprises her. Ex spd is good when cornered by her (literally just touching seth maybe after a slide sweep) when she mashes it out to finish u off…there’s not much else u can do.(if u block she can grab.)
TESTED on a blocking rose on practice mode. Blocking a Tandem is an easy way for her to get in on seth. Also tested in endless.
If ur hellbent on tandem then a good bait from fullscreen is lp tandem… when she jumps it (thinking its a fullscreen t) u can recover and lp srk into stomps or recover and ex tandem to catch her from the air to punish her for messing up.
…blocked tanden is only -4 even at full screen. She’s not punishing you with a dash.
Also, you’re assuming they know the matchup well enough. A lot of Seth players don’t ever use Tanden Engine at all and most players don’t know it can go almost full screen. Even if she does know then it’s something that she has to think about at least instead of going full-on RTSD mode.
Dude but most roses won’t throw ultra 2 from full screen so u will RARELY be able to full screen tandem. They usually corner u and then throw Ultra 2 so u cant just teleport around her and back off.
She can also jump the tandem as soon as seth changes color and land to punish ur mistake with that dash punch she has.

Anyone have some specific punishes or do’s/don’ts vs cody? Right now I’m a little afraid of this guy and am mostly playing the “zone the shit outta that guy the whole time” style that I’m not very fond of.

It can be punished on hit from midscreen :/, as well as Dudley’s Rolling thunder (slightly closer than Chun range) and Ryu Hp super (slightly closer than or at equal range to Dudley), heck even Abel can punish it with Ultra 2 at around Dudley range. Come to think about it, Rufus Ultra 2 can punish it as well on hit, but must be slightly closer than Chun/Dudley/Ryu/Abel.
Just dont even bother using St.hp unless its at its maximum range against them :l .
Yea all criminal uppers are punishable on block, however if cody is too far away so that the lp CU just grazes seth, hes gonna be out of range for HP srk.

c.lk is +1 on block, and c.lp has a 4 frame start up, and is +3 on block, so if you link the next jab, the jab is a 4 frame start up, and Shoryu has 3 frame start up.
