Dude… you cannot just jump-in on Sim. This is a fact :confused:

You can jump in on sim if you change up what your jumping in with. Like empty jump on him and with correct spacing you can punish the AA nomral he uses. Cheeky stuff

Theoretically you can’t jump in on any character since most have several anti-air options.
It’s all about spacing yourself properly as NinjahG stated and playing safe and calculating.

Mixup your jumpins all day long to keep dhalsim guessing. Get that 1 knockdown and start your pressure game.

Still, getting in jump-in range is the truly hard deal. Not only can sim runaway pretty easily, but he has anti-airs for your fullscreen jumps as well.

Getting in the range where you can setups a proper jump-in is the truly hard part. You also dont have a lot of chances to do it, since he does so much dmg with his normals (ridic)

Actually I’ve found that neutral j.hp can punish Sims that are poke happy pretty easily. It’s awesome because I don’t think Sim wins at the zone he’s trying to get at vs Ryu and Sagat because of Seth’s j.hp.

Kiku, but do you think it’s better to actively try to get in, or just stand back and play it like a rock?

neutral jumping doesn’t get you any ground, which is fine with me, because I prefer the solid as a rock, let him come to you method. But if you’re trying to get in on him, nj.HP isn’t doing a lot for you.

You really want to get in on that ass. But the trick is to make Sim think otherwise. If you ever get a knockdown though you should be applying mad pressure.

Neutral jumping totally gains you ground when you follow up a blocked j.hp with a dash, a focus attack, tanden engine, or a Sonic Boom. Unlike most characters, Seth doesn’t get thrown around like a rag doll in Dhalsim’s sweet spot.

If you can get him to block one lp boom at far range don’t be afraid to walljump in. Unless he has Ultra 1 or Super.

Ok, I’ll try it all next time. Sim pisses me off.

I find sims on the easy side. I love Neutral jumping and Stomps into a predictable Yoga Teleport lolool gets right in on them.

Gouken can follow-up a blocked U2 with a full Denjin hadoken>Sweep (stun) > neutral.j.HP>st.HP xx hk.Tatsumaki and you’re dead. That’s 1 ultra, no meters.

Yo guys how can I beat roses ultra 2 when I’m close? I know s.hp n boom are good keep aways but up close I get wrecked.

If you tanden and she doesn’t block it the orbs go away.

Tanden is not a good idea. If she DOES block it, you eat BALLZ.

Up close… have you tried SPD?

I doubt goukens can do that on the fly like that one did in the combo video, but it is something to keep in mind. I wouldn’t Ultra 2 if they lived anyways :stuck_out_tongue:

Teleport back and do full screen tandems.
Even at fullscreen if it hits the orbs go away

I tried the Gouken combo. it’s so easy mode, it’s not even funny.

Basically as long as you get to her without getting hit by the orbs ur safe. Most roses don’t block up close. Seems like 99 percent of the time they jump so I do a lp boom so she can land on it. If she jumps it shell land on hp stretchies. Stomps work but like I said its iffy. I tried ex spd but spd came out before her ultra when she woke up so my grab wiffed.

EDIT: Ok so after Ultra 2 animation u can EX spd to cancel her orb crap. also if you time a good EX boom to where she is forced to block and doesnt jump, the orbs auto cancel because they hit against the second boom. (if she gets hit her orbs cancel AND you get some damage in :D)

Good thing most Gouken’s either don’t use U2. Or we just wouldn’t suck so bad as to not chip them out?

Reffering the Rose matchup you can use her anti-fireball ways to your advantage. I love throwing lp booms to make her do an early reflect and she eats it, mixing up the speeds makes her join the fireball war. Then it’s a free walljump combo.

Another good thing is to throw a mp boom an she reflects, U1 will punish ;]

The Gouken thing isn’t really worrying when you think about it.

After all, who uses U2 against Gouken?

Tbf, his fireballs have good recovery and he’s got no way to avoid chip.

I have yet to fight a decent enough gouken that causes me guilt for picking ultra 2

On rose. … I love punishing a reflect. Also Two days ago I was laughing so hard cuz I comboed a hp boom into ultra 1 on a guile from full screen!
