if you get Knocked down and Chun-Li is coming in for the kill with Ultra 2 right near you. if you are within THROW range just MASH it out (go mega ballistic turbo ultra button pressing lolol) and you can throw Chun-Li out of the U2 on start up after the FLASH.
Bison vs Seth is a 6-4 in Super, IMO. Bison is just a lot better in this game. And Seth got worse.
Anyways, re-tested the grapple Ultra stuff. Gief gets us if for some reason we use U2 against him. Apparently, he gets up pretty fast, so he just reversal Ultras you and you… die. pretty much. The others take too long to get up. Didn’t test any other characters, but it might be worth looking into makoto’s Seichusen Godanzuki. Or any other characters for that matter. I’m just not in the mood to do it.

I’m really having trouble against my mate playing Juri, I just can’t seem to deal with her at all. That divekick is just too fast coming out and always trades if I try to DP it and pretty much stops me throwing booms because she can just jump over and kick me in the gob. What is the best way to punish pinwheel too? Half the time I try, she can block, and is usually out of jab range.
Anyway, any basic Juri tips would be appreciated, I’m really not that good with Seth (or SF4 really, yet, but I’m learnin’!). Gimme a hand in stuffing that stupid stolen eye down Juri’s mouth my good Seth comrades.
Just kidding, but seriously, I main her. Punishing pinwheel is spacing dependent, but it’s usually easy to see if it’s punishable or not. Just stick out cr.mk xx Boom as a punish for it if you’re not sure it’s going to hit.
Your friend sounds dive kick happy. If he is, drive fear into his heart. Boom xx FADC forwards. If he takes the boom bait and jumps, you do j.mp and take him for a ride.
With Juri, your gameplan is to be weary of her Fuhajins (fireballs) because those are a good zoning tool, otherwise just rush the damn out of her and if you get a knockdown, go for a throw on wake-up because it beats ex.Senpusha. What else… Try not to jump in at her too much. She has good anti-airs.
Juri also doesn’t like getting rushed down much without EX Pinwheel, so if shes low feel free to rush her down, if she’s using the wheel for chip damage then just take it and wall jump/backdash away. EX Legs is a good way to deal with the divekick too, or J.MP. Heres a video of the best Juri I’ve encountered online.

my friend mains her and I’ve dealt with his tactics and manged to beat a lot of this stuff.
I’m not sure 100%, but every time he ends a pinwheel on block, I can throw out a jab or even a sweep… not sure if it’s just frame disadvantage or him not blocking, but it’s something to keep in mind.
dive kicks trade with dp’s, if it’s near full screen when juri dive kicks, you can throw out a sonic boom and she’ll fly right into it. alternatively, you can react with any ultra if the dive kick was telegraphed that easily.
If dive kick happy, or is zoning you with fb’s, don’t do any j.hp, if you can inch your way in the wave of fb’s, react to one with ex legs, it’s hard because the fbs are slow as balls, half the time I get hit… or maybe I haven’t gotten the right spacing.
If I recall correctly, she’s got low Health… get at her with mixups and you’ll have her in the bag in no time
Cheers for the advice folks, I’ll give it a try. He is divekick happy, yes, and I need to be more patient I guess. If nothing is happening in the round the urge to throw out the old bendy arms just gets to me sometimes. I did notice that SPD works quite well on his wakeup, will use that more often since he really likes to pinwheel when I’m close, and of course if it hits it gets linked to super and I die.
Don’t jump, and don’t expect to crouch or backdash away from bushin flip grab. Use U2, as it’s great for stopping both his run loligagging and his bushin flip bullshit.

I like to play the counter game against Guy players. Just play defensive and wait for him to make a mistake and punish. It may seem like kind of a lame style but it works.
