Try and bait flashkicks with divekick then punish - try and get a reset and keep the momentum going, and if you have a life lead you can just sit on it against guile.

When I see guile on the vs screen I just switch to -boom spam- mode. Spam booms spam boom spam booms>Anti-air/U1

Is there a way to dive kick off the wall semi-instantly? I usually get the dive kick at around 1/2 screen.

Every Seth is good with that matchup, you just keep spamming sonic booms untill he gets too close and walljump away, throw in some stretchy arms for good measure and there you go.

Here’s how my first match against a Zangief went back in Vanilla, this is what you **DO NOT **want to do:

God, I hate zangief matches. I know it’s super free, but I start feeling the itch to rush-down and always screw up. Especially if the gief knows what he’s doing.

And video makes me sad. It shows me the former glory of teleport and j.HP.

Zangief’s j.hp punishes sonic booms at a little over half screen and then he can combo into s.lk xx EX Banishing Flat for a vortex knockdown. The best thing to do as Seth vs Zangief is not do anything and just react to what he does. If he walks forwards s.hp/Sonic Boom. If he jumps DP. Also once Zangief gets you in the corner he can space himself so that if you walljump he gets a headbutt on you. The thing is, if he tries to close the distance from there you can usually just walljump and empty jump away. Headstomp will get you hit by a headbutt anyways.

You can buffer the divekick as soon as you leave the wall I believe and it will come out as soon as possible, but there is a decent amount of time where you can’t divekick after walljumping.

Recently Cammy And Dudley have been giving me slight issues. Just because when Cammy gets in she brings the pain ):

Dudley on the other hand has his loverly EX Machineryz Upper and I’m always afraid to throw fireballs otherwise they get a counter hit and 250ish free damage if combo’d. Any tips?

On Cammy I’ve been playing keep away and baiting Cannon Spike’s to Ex Legs. Dudley I’ve just been mega rushdown and trying to not let him get a punch in. It’s either a perfect or a flop. Kinda like playing Seth I guess.

Meaty jab tanden engine beats Juri’s U2 for a free combo.

Can’t they just jump out of the meaty jab tanden engine? I’m curious since I do not know exactly what are its applications, and use on wake-up.

I don’t think you can jump out of a meaty tanden.

Anyways, I am not sure and I’d really like it fi you guys could test this further for me. Hyakuretsu in the corner > U2 > Opponent uses an unjumpable command grab Ultra.

I tried this yesterday and the results were alarming to say the least. I wasn’t able to jump out of it. At all. I tried it against Gief, Hawk and ELF. They all got me. Abel’s breathless failed. I don’t remember GUy’s Bushin Muso Renge, but I think it got me too.

I need someone else to test this and see if they get the same results as me, because I might be doing something wrong, I dunno. I so hope I’m doing something wrong.

I just tried this but I could get out of Elf, T.Hawks, and Guy’s, just not Zangief.

I think it’s obvious there needs to be changes to U2. Recovery is way to long when it hits along with the ultra randomly whiffing after too high juggles or character hitboxes?

You can totally jump out of a meaty tanden. Remember, it’s a blockable throw. Now, trying to jump out of meaty EX tanden gets you hit.

Mike Ross just beat me 9-4, spam stand jab beats headbutt, but watch out if he’s in s.rh range because it shits on Seth’s health. And ending block strings close up with sonic boom trades with headbutt. Ex headbutt rapes blockstrings.

If Gief got you, then Hawk should be able to get you. If Hawk didn’t get you, then Gief shouldn’t be able to get you either.

I’ll do more testing, maybe it’s inconstant. Depending on how high you first activate the Typhoon
