I’m getting suspicious of Reed actually, in the past year he’s been kind of weird (who hasn’t… but him the most from what i’ve seen). Also he was the only one upset when the Blackbolt imposter was impaled by Namor.
Seeing as I support a Namor=Skrull theory, I definitely don’t think that Reed’s a skrull. Having half the Illuminati be skrulls would just be kind of silly.
I don’t think Namor’s a Skrull for reasons I stated before in this thread. It’s way too easy to make the person who hates everything a Skrull from a writer’s standpoint.
On top of that, he really has no say in matters that Skrulls would want to manipulate. Civil War he dubbed a human problem and he was against getting rid of the Hulk. If he’s a Skrull, he’s not influencing things like the rest of the Illuminati is. Not being Skrully really, just bitchy but he’s been that way for a looong time.
Reed’s possible but like Zeph said before, his intellect is really hard to fake. His powers not so much for Skrulls, but not his intellect. Could be a Skrull but I doubt it.
Well, in Illuminati #5, when they were fighting the Black Skrullt, Xavier said that it had Black Bolt’s thoughts, so they could have some sort of crazy skrully brain-transfer tech.
But still, he’s at the center of a lot of should-be-important stuff. He’s got Nitro, who started the Civil War (who I also think is a skrull). He stopped them from being able to interrogate the skrull when he killed it. And he’s really in the same position as the Black Bolt, with a whole bunch of super-powered underlings.
But if he were a skrull he’d have no reason to stop the war. And he went out of his way, even killing his son, to prevent it.
I’m not sure what you mean, but I think you’re referring to Namor helping Cap in the Civil War.
He might’ve been abducted after the Civil War. Hell, the skrulls could’ve just wiped out Atlantis by now. He also might not have intended to actually end the war. He might’ve just joined to try and take a few heroes out.
I like how this whole skrull thing could possible tie up everything since the Avengers disassembled till now.
I dunno if this whole thing was planned from the start or just came up, but if it all was orchestrated 4 years ago, that is pretty neat.
It would be gangsta as hell if Namor wasn’t a skrull and teamed up with Dr Doom to fix everything.

Bendis said that he’s been hinting and setting things up for years now. The best issue for this where you just go “wow” is back during the Civil War with the Sentry, where he talks about Black Bolt’s utter lack of surprise about what’s happening on earth while everyone else is stunned.
No, I’m not referencing that. The civil war was done and there were sleeper cells in the US acting independently.

Atlantis is gone and he has is allied with Dr Doom. Atlantians are living in sleeper cells around the world.
I am going to stick with the prediction that Dr Doom will save everyone with anti Hero Namor assist.
Simply because it would be the most entertaining to me. I hope Reed turns out to be a skrull and he is about to do something nutty and Doom shows up and kills the him.
I’m really interested in the storyline, but I really don’t feel like reading 10 different comics to know what is happening. sigh
