Stature punching out a skrull with the supposed powers of “Galactus”. FAIL on all levels!!! A skrull with galactus level powers is laughable to begin with…but then being beat up by the young avenger Stature? No. Just… no.

Marvel’s rationale (pretty sure it was in a My Cup O’Joe, well at this point I read about a ton of online Marvel interviews ROFL!) was that they can have all of someone’s powers but not know how to use them as well as the people who’s powers they are imitating. Like how the OG Super Skrull doesn’t know how to use the FF’s powers as well as each individual member. He can’t use flame powers as well as the Human Torch can for example but the other three powers he has makes up for it. Experience using only one power goes a long way compared to balancing out three other gifts.
I doubt Galactuskrull had all of Galactus’ powers to begin with because… he still needed to fight with an army? Eh don’t think about it too much. It just looked cool to see a Young Avenger do something big like that and that’s it really. If she beat up the real Galactus, that would be something but at best she knocked out a photocopy…

That Galactusskrull was there for looks. I HIGHLY doubt the skrulls could duplicate cosmic powers. Hopefully once Secret Invasion is done and the skrulls are put on the endangered species list, the Inhumans can finish them off and make them there slaves.

Yeah, I don’t think the Super Skrulls are copying the powers of characters they didn’t even capture honestly and if so, only partial at best. LOL Jackpot managed to defeat a Super Skrull imitating the powers of the Sinister Six. Does that mean she can defeat the Sinister Six? No, just that she managed to defeat a Super Skrull imitating the powers of the Sinister Six. I don’t think it goes beyond that really.

At best Skrulls can only emulate the powers the heroes they are copying. They aren’t as powerful as the genuine article.
So I don’t know what your problem is though. Batman can beat the entire Justice League. Wolverine can beat most of the Marvel Universe. What makes Black Panther taking out Super Skrulls unbelievable?

A good chunk of the street level superheroes have a good chance of fighting a SuperSkrull. Shit even Electra took out some of them.

Still though. Galactus is a cosmic being. His power level is well above anybody on Earth. Silver surfer who is more powerful then anyone on Marvel Earth, only has a fraction of Galactus’ power. Galactusskrull may not have known how to use the power cosmic to the full extent… but getting punked by Stature of all people?? I’m sorry but no.
If he got punked by Silver Surfer, or Sentry, or Thor… even Nova. I’d be willing to accept. But Stature?!@#% Come on. The fact that Stature can achieve such a feat diminishes any threat the skrull army poses. The entire skrull army is basically a joke.
But there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Galactaskrull had any of Galactus’ powers. For all we know, it was just looks like Kusanagi said and that’s it. Hell now we know that he probably didn’t have anything like that because he lost to Stature.
Silver Surfer? The guy who got punked by Carnage? And lost to Hulk in Planet Hulk? Got his ass whooped during Annihilation? Don’t you know it’s against the law to have him beat up anyone that matters? Who does he think he is, Squirrel Girl? Blasphemy.

If Galactuskrull doesn’t have any of Galactus’ powers, then it is poor storytelling since they shouldn’t have drawn a skrull donning Galactus’ form in the first place. If Galactuskrull has Galactus’ powers it’s still poor storytelling cause he got punked by Stature.
