Skrulls backs are against the wall now that there getting there asses kicked. They use there secret weapon and have Janet enlarge herself till she explodes. Skrull Spiderwoman gets an arrow lodged in her throat courtesy of Hawkeye and looks like she dies. Bullseye takes out skrull Pym. Meanwhile, Jessica leaves her baby with Jarvis to join the battle.Apparently Jarvis survives the explosion or it could be another skrull duplicate. Anyways, he says something along the lines somebody being a sacrifice. Tony leaves the battle midway through the fight since his armor is low on power. He ends up back at Stark Tower where Jarvis ends.
Jarvis IS a Skrull he turns into his Skrull form in one of the panels!
Here’s my thoughts on SI #7-
SI #7
[details=Spoiler]
An all action issue where all the heroes and badguys fight off the Skrull army.
Tony later breaks off to retune his armor and heads to Avengers HQ.
Jessica seeing the heroes fight on TV, tells Jarvis to look after her baby as she goes and helps them out.
Noh Varr eventually arrives to help the heroes fight off the Skrulls.
When the Queen is severely injured…Janet starts to grow in size
RiP Janet :/[/details]
The recent Secret Invasion Tie-in for the Thunderbolts actually adds on to that
Basically
Thunderbolts
Spoiler
After the T-bolts save D.C., one of the reporters interviews Norman and he starts saying how Tony should’ve let him use his tech instead of Starktech at Thunderbolts Mountain and it would’ve made the battles against the Skrulls easier. The president happens to see this and wants to see Osbourne when this whole skrull thing is over. Later on in the same issue, there’s a part in Secret Invasion #7 where Tony has to leave since his armor is still fuckin up BUT the president sees this as Tony running away scared. So this whole issue has Osbourne coming out of this whole thing like Jesus Christ himself once Secret Invasion is over.
Avengers:The Initiative, New and Mighty Avengers(They cover alot of the stuff that leads up to this event. Lots of reveals and stuff), Thunderbolts, and Black Panther.
WHAT?! Hell no Mighty and New have been dull SI tie-ins for the most part.
I agree with Initiative, Thunderbolts and BP though. I’ll also throw in the DeadPool SI tie-ins as well.
FF4 spoiler was confirmed on one JQ’s MyCup O’ Joe segments, either last week or the week before. Indirectly, but someone asked JQ a question about it, and he confirmed the current situation with his answer.
Secret Invasion Spider-Man was decent but nothing mind blowing and nothing important really happens in the book. Jackpot holds down NY fighting a Skrull that imitates the Sinister Six’s powers while Spider-Man is in Savage Land and that’s about it really. There’s clues to suggest that Jackpot is Mary Jane and some clues say she’s not. Leading up to the big reveal in Spider-Man Annual next week where Jackpot turns out to be Firestar or something crazy like that. :looney:
I’ve only posted about picking up the book, what, 100 times now in the Spider-Man and Marvel threads? LOL well t’s Spider-Man. Hard for me to boycott for long despite stupid ass editorial decisions since he is my favorite comic book character and the reason I got into comics in the first place. I got the first 2 hardcovers (not getting the third, first book was cool but I don’t like the direction they were taking with the second… Purchasing harbcovers / TPBs has next to no bearing whether or not monthly issues continue BTW) and New Ways To Die weekly. Right now, I’ll get the annual next week and Spider-Man Extra for the Anti-Venom story, don’t know about anything else. I suppose it’s hard to break a 20 year habit… Spider-Man was hardly in his Secret Invasion tie-in so the status of his marriage in that book really didn’t matter.
I did boycott in the beginning, but truth be told the book is still selling well, waaaay more than Spider-Girl hence SG’s upcoming cancellation and BND is going to stick around for some time. There is a slight drop in sales but it isn’t enough for Marvel to even think about changing things back the way they were. If you ever needed evidence that what people say on the internet does not reflect what actually sells well there it is…
Though yeah, for the most part I’m doing the same thing I did during the Clone Saga / Makie reboot. Picking up the issues that involve Eddie Brock and that’s kind of it. Some Jackpot in there too now I guess, just 'cuz I miss MJ and don’t ever want to read about BND Hollywood actress banging a stranger MJ…
Ah well. Still got the Spider-Man Web of Shadows video game for my current fix. Eddie Brock and MJ hell yeah that’s what I’m talking about! :lovin:
skrull invasion sucks…big time, its made me lose interest in marvel this year. srsly civil war got me back into comics after a 10 year hiatis (sp?) this shit may make me leave for another 10 if dark reign doesnt do it for me.
Yeah this whole invasion basically came down to a kamikaze religious mission for the skrulls. Like now i see why there were other skrulls who basically like, “Bitch Please”, when the Queen showed her plans on conquering Earth.
the skrulls completely infiltrated society on earth and if it had not been for fury, skrullektra the infiltration would’ve been complete.
SI is a better story… Civil war was good… but in the last battle I expected to see hero vs hero smack down and all we got was a page and a half of that… SI is better cause finally it’s heros vs villains which is good to see finally.
