Seattle (now f--king Oklahoma) sports thread

I was listening to KJR during my lunch break and they were talking about how Bobby Engram reported to training camp. If Deion will be ready for the season then that’s very encouraging. What sucks is that it usually takes a long while before people truly recover from ACL tears. I’m hoping he can contribute though.

I heard the Seahawks are gonna move their HQ to Renton. Is that true?

As far as I know, yeah, according to this:

Nate Burleson, homies. I forecast he’ll be getting a lot more looks and catches this year. And a couple kick/punt runback TDs.

I was reading Seattletimes.com today and Holmgren was quoted as saying that Deion Branch’s targeted return is set for the first game of the regular season. I sure the fuck hope so. Although he definitely won’t be the same for a while.

Yup, so now should be the time where we get pissed at the Seahawks organization for not drafting any receivers as Bobby Engram is now out for 6-8 weeks with a shoulder injury. Maybe Lawrence Jackson should like, learn offense now. Also, Marcus Tubbs’ contract was terminated as he failed a physical. Like that shouldn’t have happened sooner. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah SEAHAWKS!

It’s alright. Tubbs can go play his three games and get injured somewhere else.

cmon, im lookin towards the Seahawks for some comfort…our defense can only do so much.

You know, if you’re a sports stud in Washington right now, you could probably get a job on the Mariners or in the Seahawks receiving corps way way too easily these days.

Anybody want to go to a Storm game? I was thinking about one of their last two home games in September. Strange but true. Pretty much your only chance to get pro basketball in this town for a while.

I would go. I also live about 5 blocks fro mthe Key so if anyone wanted to do a pre-funk I’d be down to host.

Justin Forsett, homies.

Jim Lefebvre (coach for the Chinese baseball team) got tossed for arguing a call during a game against the Americans yesterday. As I watched the clip, I kept getting flashbacks of people chanting “I’m a Lefebvre believer” with Kingdom acoustics.

You young’ins wouldn’t know what I’m talking about. There was a time when Seattle sports fans celebrated .500 seasons, and dubbed it “The Perfect Season”. Yes, winning half of your games was once considered perfect. Expectations were different back then. This was before the post Jack Siekma and Dennis Johnson Sonics won anything. Yes, I’m old.

But the important thing to remember is this: Lefebvre still can’t win a game.

Fucking Keith, stop making me laugh so much here at work. “Perfect season”, fucking awesome.

Amazing, the Seahawks have 5 defensive ends that made it to their roster. Also, CJ Wallace made it. Huskies are going big. Three rookie Washington players are on the practice squad of the Raiders. Roy Lewis (my Facebook pal!) is on the practice squad for the Steelers.

Edit: Nevermind.

We should also applaud the Mariners for their recent longest win streak of the season.

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but the last Storm home game of the season is next Friday - lemme know if you’re interested in heading to it too - I think there’s ~6 people interested so far(?).

What time is the game?

^-- 7PM.

I wore my NBA sport socks for you last house tourney.

Hahahah tight. Man I won’t be able to go to that game. If you guys try to go to a playoff game, I’ll ask for the time off!

How much are tickets, Zach?

$17.25

Thunder is a pretty weak ass name
