Also the info I got about ryu and ken in hyper was from the official guild that came out when they released 3s on the PS2. It said that some small differences appeared around hyper but it wasn’t until super and turbo that they became truly unique characters.

I mean I think projectile speed, SRK and maybe the trajectory of tatsu was slightly altered but super and turbo is when ken finally became ken.
How is that fair? You were already told not to try and discuss that which you have no clue about. The book says nothing of the sort because I am reading right now. Ken became more different in ST due to the addition of crazy kicks, but Ken and Ryu were already very different in hyper fighting. All different special properties cause them to play differently. Sagat/Ryu played more similar than Ken/Ryu.
Hey it was 1 tiny mistake cause if you look at that match I posted they do look nearly identical. Even I am subject to error from time to time but I was sort of right in a way because the differences didnt start to become visible until super and beyond.
Edit: Actually my original comment meant to say that they started to "look"different around super, I just phrased it wrong.

I think that’s how I’ll prove my excellent footsie skills, by using a low tier like gief in a game that defines the core SF experience. Ill figure out how to get GGPO on this and then watch me as I tear shit down with gief or some other low tier in this game.
Gief is actually pretty deece in Hyper. You want low tier? Use Bison.

Hyper Bison is the original example of overnerf. He is bottom 3.
