A new year which means a new thread and hopefully an awesomely awesome year for fighting games!
Woohoo!
Well, I think I’m out of things to say after that, durr. I was just quick and thought if I didn’t make this no one would due to our board being relatively inactive these days.
Hopefully games and fun can be had for the last year we have! (trollface)
So, something I’ve been wondering, what games have you guys been playing these days? (fighting or other).
I’ve still been rocking the AE, with some KoF13. And Portal 2, MGS HD, Skyrim, and various other not quite as consistently played games.
Happy new years guys!
there are players here man, we just gotta find them. in the past couple days i’ve talked to 2 people who play games.
one of which said he has a crew that gets together to play marvel. i directed him here, but im thinking it’d be easier to jump on with saskgamers as they have tournaments and events which would give our crew exposure and in turn bring more people out. its not like we’re in dire straits or anything, we been playin for a couple years now and it aint like that gonna change anytime soon.
january 15 there is a SC tournament at matrix. and those dudes want us to come out and meet them. we should get our crew to go and meet those guys and run casuals/watch some of their tourney. i think it would be good and if any of them play we could probably get them to come out on occasion. i know i’ve heard that there are actually quite a few people in this city that play fighting games. just gotta find them.
I know there are a bunch of ppl that play fighting games in the city. A couple of them don’t want to come out though. Older ppl I used to play with at the arcade back in University. There’s a couple guys that played with Jason and Jared. Guys that came to the matrix. The old Ruckers crew. Wonderland peeps. I got 4 ppl on my friends list on xbl in Regina that play SF and I have yet to meet them. I know ppl are playing games here, tell me something I don’t know. Some come out, some don’t. Some take it seriously, some won’t.
I know we’re not in dire straits, I would play regardless if no one played at all. That website sounds like a good start though. Keep it up!
If anyone wants games, I’m on pretty much (probably actually 4-5 days… which is still a lot) er’day for about an hour or two sometime between 6-10.
Just inv or message me
This is Mark from SaskGamers.com, a community for gamers in Sasakatchewan. We hold all sorts of events (mostly in Regina) including korean BBQs, eSports viewing parties and tournaments. I have been getting a lot of messages about the fighting game community in our province. It sounds like many of you already know of the website ( and a few have posted ), but what we don’t have is your own section or presence on the site. I haven’t set up a section yet because I need to know if there is actually interest in using our forum. I’m looking for a couple of volunteers to take charge of a section dedicated to fighting games in Saskatchewan. You will get moderator powers, webspace and anything else you might need to help your community grow.
I think if we started merging some of our events together we could get a better draw to both communities.
If you guys are interested head on over to SaskGamers.com and let me know. If not I will monitor the flamming in this thread :- )
i went to wonderland a week ago and their mame is broken. only left side player works, they have an UMK3 cab though now. and still the neogeo that doesn’t work. 100000000000 machines in the back room you figure they’d fix the mame but its been broken foreverrrr. that wasn’t a stab at you normie, you know this.
