It looks interesting but I just wish it played like sf lol, although I do approve of the all bitch roster.
Are you playing sfxt losha or are you still unsure?

not yet.
Probably won’t get it, but it’s still a possibility.
It’s a good game I think you will appreciate it. The only people who don’t seem to like it are people who think footsies are bad for sole reason. I’m thinking I’ll take a break to focus on ME3 but after what I’ve heard about the ending my ambition to finish it isn’t the way it used to be.
Nah, KOing one character to win a round leads to a lot of exciting moments, where you know somebody has to tag out, but you don’t know exactly how they’re going to do it. Try to mash jab to land a launcher chain? Might work a bit now, but it’s unlikely to work consistently as the game matures. Raw tag? Sometimes you need to do this and eat the damage, which is (imo) a satisfying moment in the match for both the player and the observer (it’s basically "the next 10 seconds are combo video… GO!). Reversal + tag? Usually unsafe on block, or can be alpha countered for good damage if the offensive player is on point.
People can say whatever else they want about how the game’s systems are working out, but I think this decision was a really good one. It promotes a lot of intensity during many parts of the round, and it also means “easy” BnBs that people often do (LMH launcher, some tag combos) might be a really bad idea if your second character is low on life. Whenever a game promotes sacrificing damage for positioning or some other benefit (such as not tagging in your almost dead character), I think it’s a good mechanic.
the game leading up to the ending is still absolutely incredible, though. the ending is bad but not bad enough to make the game not worth playing… you could probably wait a bit though, there will likely be an ending DLC out in a month or two.
I still hate how it looks and wish it wasn’t full of stupid fanservicey character designs but lately the gameplay has been looking really awesome so I’m going to pick it up.
I agree with all these points about the game but they could still easily be apart of it even if they removed rounds. In fact all these aspects of the game would probably be intensified considering that once both characters are KOed the match is over…it would literally be SF2 level intensity as 1 mistake could literally cost you the match. The flow would improve and the matches wouldnt drag on as long, so ultimately I think it would help with the game’s pacing and the issue were seeing with time outs.
I love the series so i’ll get around to it eventually, I still have to finish ME2 DLC so by the time I finish ME3 hopefully the true ending will be DLC by then. I heard the game was great though so Im excited to play it when I eventually get around to it.
I think you missed the point.
The sask thread is the home of the sock threads!
You know that Canada cup tournament is right around the corner…it’s a shame I can’t put my new sfxt skills to the test:(
I hope you learned your lesson.
I apologized, been on good behavior for a long time and didn’t call out anyone especially since I was trashed during my ban…I think it’s time I’m forgiven but oh well:(
I’m sure they forgive you. Everybody has been pleasant to you lately. That said forgiveness doesn’t automatically mean the consequences of your actions are erased. Your ban should stick, at least for now.
True enough, I guess it just kind of sucks not being able to attend a big tournament that is literally a province over. All the sfxt training time is wasted!
Do you think sf4 will still get played as much?
It will once all the scrubs drop SFxT because pros will be demoralizing them with infinites.
Sfxt is tourney legit yo!
I forgot it’s st.pats today…no wonder it’s so crowded out tonight ha.
I watched SF X tekken for about an hour or two and good lord I just do not like the game. Slow walkspeeds, the gems, the fact that time outs are so easy to get, I dunno game just does not appeal to me. then again haven’t been a huge fan of most of the stuff capcoms put out in the past couple of years.
sorry evan, I just can’t see the appeal of the game.
SFXT has elements to it that appear very"scrubby"but trust me the game is very fun and very rewarding once you get a handle of the mechanics. It’s all about spacing and defense I find, so knowing your ranges and when to block are very important…more so then SF4 imo. Good defense is a absolute must in this game because you don’t have a FADC to rely on when pressured. Not to mention getting hit or whiffing is actually punishing this time around so all in all if you were able to tolerate SF4 I think SFXT will be a lot more reasonable.
The game is okay, I still haven’t bought it, and I can now say I probably won’t since DLC and all this other junk will just make me regret spending…60 bucks on the game, then if I want DLC costumes another 26 bucks…and then another 20 for Disc Locked Characters. I’ll just wait til they release Vita Version onto the PS3 again or some sort of Devil/Dark Hadou version of the game where it has everything for much much much much cheaper.
yep. but i bought it already and am atleast still having fun with the game so thats always positivbe.
If you need to kill both characters, why even bother tagging? You’re better off just letting your one character die, rather than tag and risk getting popped for 400-500 damage on your second character, because it doesn’t really get you anywhere. The only thing is that once your first character dies, you won’t have access to certain tag combos and stuff, but that would be basically a non-issue compared to losing half life and getting cornered, IMO. There’s basically no extra tension when someone gets down to near-zero life, because they’ll fight like they normally would, and when they die, they’ll just continue to fight with their second character.
Also, needing to kill both characters instead of just one would get FEWER time outs?
yeah. please don’t go on a revert back to your prior form as april duels approaches. relax, its one tourney. afaik, the regina guys aren’t going either. we have a tournament here coming next month hopefully in Regina. prep for that instead.
