I still prefer the traditional hit confirm of a normal into a special, I just don’t think chains are required for this kind of engine.
Chao I have no idea what’s up with the lag. I run smooth games in ranked against people outside the province so I have no clue why our games are 1 bar. Maybe you should host next time to see if it improves the connection. Our games with dalton seemed to more clear though but maybe I’ll just need to upgrade my connection in order to run smooth games locally.
The set was frustrating though, very close to quitting this fucking game lol.
Myles: I dont hate this game because its not SF4, I hate it because I can’t win. The main appeal of SF4 and HDR for me was the fact that I was able to win relatively early on in my time with it. I wasn’t the biggest fan of SF4 but I played it because I just happened to be good in it. SFXT is not a natural fit for me, so I’m really forcing myself to try and improve in it even though I dont have a natural flow with it.
I was just checking out the law threads and it seems like other players have also come to the conclusion that law is low tier. I would hate to drop him due to tier restrictions so I’ll just deal with it and try to see him through to his full potential. However the same issues I pointed out before are what most law players are saying holds him back.
She has a very basic style and strong normals so I works well for me. I tried Hugo a bit but he isn’t my style lol, I’m more for the basic spacing characters.
Why don’t you play Ryu then? Or are you afraid it will expose your terrible fundamentals, since all the shit you claim to be good at (spacing and footsies) is Ryu’s bread and butter. He’s legitimately top teir in this game, like Fei was in pretty much every incarnation of SFIV, except 2012, which I see made you drop playing SFIV lol. Big lol too about you not applying wakeup pressure since you’re scared of the reversal dp. Do you not know what an option select is? Or a safe jump for that matter? No wonder your Fei was so free.
Also seriously man, you bitching about Vega is obvious to everyone. Get off Jozhear’s nuts already. You ain’t fooling anyone with the constant Vega bitching. Joz is a legitimate top player, he has put in work. He is respected like Air, and Detrimantix are. I’m positive if Vega was low tier, Joz would still be strong with him and be able to still smack you around for free. Because he knows how to play Street Fighter.
Also what is a point and click character? Is that using good pokes to counter whiffed normals or something? Like you know footsies?
On a positive note. SFxT is fucking awesome outside of the drama. Sooo much better than SFIV. Really nice to see Capcom release a solid fighter out the gate.
You started to lock my law down pretty good with guile. Im starting to realize that with law the best offense is a good defense. Last night I fought riceta and noticed the errors in my approach to law. I hope I can become the best law in west coast Canada, and so far chao has really helped me improved. My goal for now though is to beat you chao lol.
Games with so many characters should be your new thing, so even when you suck ass at them you can at least pick an obscure character and claim to be the best regionally after playing 5 people.
Pick ryu he seems to be able to stuff the grappler and frame trap you with an easy 4 move attack folloew by a light shuryken so you cant get out and im pretty sure the shuryken is an os cause it only come out if i try a crlp or crlk. Man i just suck at fighters. I can barely do combos in training let alone aginst an opponent and these guys just frame trap me all day
rico brags so much but last time he went to a tourney at canada cup 2011 he got outplayed by local canadian players ( not the elite ones like jozhear or riceata ) and rico was eliminated early
then he had the nerve to say he could ocv entire province teams
he also lied about going even with alex valle on ggpo 3S, never seen anyone who lies and brags so much about video games
When you realize that his entire self worth is derived from something you aren’t even good at it starts to make much more sense.
He challenged me to a king of sask FT20 at HT and never showed. The people working there had no idea anything was happening that day.
I still think someone THAT delusional should be forced into therapy. I’m sure these are the kind of people who end up with people locked in their basement playing ‘house’.
I never played any local Canadian players at Canada cup 2011. The only casuals I had that entire event was against wolfkrone and the akuma player who beat Ross. The last time I ever played local Canadian players was at Alberta beatdown 2, and I beat everyone at that event except Jamie. Also Valle even posted in the “ggs thread” back when 3s was on the original xbox, however I’m not going to look that far back to prove it.
Sev: ha I should try ryu but I’d just feel dirty using a top tier. Ultimately that’s why I decided agaiant vega and rolento, I wanna rock low tiers and see how well I do.
there, rico admits he lied about his ggpo accomplishments right here. how can someone go from “I was a beast on gppo stalemating alex valle” to “ok I lied I was never on GGPO”. shameless
its a fact that rico lost to local canadian players in the official canada cup 2011 tournament. dont try to dodge the subject and talk about casuals. rico himself admits that he lost to canadian players when he used his alt account rhiaggo to circumvent his ban and post anyway
so rico, dont talk about being able to ocv entire province teams when you get eliminated by average players in the tournament. youre not an elite player at all, youre just an average player that brags and makes a lot of excuses when he loses
when someone lies as often as rico does its hard to tell whats true or not, but ill take your word for it that rico beat alex valle in a lagfest in 3S xbox
They aren’t top players as far as I know, but they were not local guys or from Calgary. 1 didn’t speak English and be other was a Cody player I has never seen. However they were not AB guys or from sask as far I know.
