Does anyone have a SFXT they wanna sell me lol, I tried looking around and I cant seem to find them anywhere…guess they sold out pretty quick it seems like.
Man, I’m watching some replays of Salty Battles, with ChrisG to try to figure out some of his Hwoarang tech. It is hard to figure out hwoarange tech when EVERYTHING is a kick. Its like, was that a MP or a MK?
My only advice agaiant him is to mash alpha counter during his target combos. Trying to block against him on reaction is impossible, everything seems to alternate between high and low so rapidly. Raven can be very tricky too with his projectile and instant teleport…especially that damn instant overhead teleport.
I really wish this game didn’t have chains though, it should just be links and rapid fires like sf4 IMO.
This is for you http://shoryuken.com/forum/threads/156269/
Maybe this will motivate you for law

You didn’t buy the game? Just send me an invite whenever your online and if you see me in Training mode.
My main issue with law is that I’m trying to play him like fei, and obviously it’s getting me hammered pretty badily against people who understand the game better.
Also vega is the most effortless character to use in this game…jump in for free and crouching spam normals all day long, what a joke of a character.
I meant I was trying to reverse engineer the hwoarang tech, I main him and zangief
good times today, hope to get my teeth kicked in when we do actual matches next week!
hey flubsy just have to ask, who do you play in BB? No one freaking plays it here!
Ha sorry I meant the sfxt guide. I don’t know if it’s worth it or not but I figure it’s probably a concise outlet of info that’s a easier resource to access then going through all the srk sub forums.
Alright so I’m having a issue vs rolento and vega…their pokes are WAY to broken. Does anyone know how to get by them or reliable anti-tech vs them?
Rolento is fricken relentless

I loled.
Also, I’ll totally dig around for your gamertag way earlier in the thread when I said I would add you. I totally forgot (as I think I said I would). Same as someone else who I can’t remember specifically… I swear I have the worst memory.
All good gamertag is seven cdn. Im very rookie level at fighters

I haven’t played much but tager is my prospective main. Interested in the butler too though
I CAN’T FUCKING BELIEVE THIS FUCKING SHITTY GAME!
0-11 against chao…fuck man that was a brutal ass fucking.
I don’t get how I can go from being a fucking SF4 god in this community to a shitty ass scrub in the course of just 1 fucking game. This is like some terrible fucking karma against me from all the times I called calgary"free". I didn’t think it was even possible for me to lose this bad…like since when do I lose ya know. It feels like like some essential truth of reality isnt true anymore…like the law of gravity or some other absolute constant of nature just going up in fucking smoke all the sudden. I really dont know what to say or think about it…me losing is like superman getting fucked up by bullets or a pocket knife. Its not suppose to happen but it just did…so now I have to deal with a sudden shift in perception and get my head around this new concept. I mean the idea that I’m not the best anymore was never a possibility I ever bothered to entertain because it just seemed so far fetched…but its true and it just happened so now I gotta deal with this new"truth"which imo sucks fucking balls!
Anyways ggs chao and sorry about not making the lobby with keith but I was pretty pissed and needed to cool down and get my head clear lol. I or someone else should tell keith about this thread, I’m not sure if he has posted in the past or lurks but he might be willing to come down for some games if he knew dustin was hosting again. Worth a shot shot I think, anyways ggs and ill shoot you another invite next time I’m on.
yeah me and him were playing, i think we played about 18 or 20 games, i only won 2 games lol. that was pretty fun. i just need to find another character that goes well with marduk. was planning on learning heihatchi but just got too lazy trying to learn another damn character after switching from kuma to steve, to paul.
GG’s to Ric and Keith.
Ric
- I would say one of your biggest problems is use of meter. There were so many rounds where you could’ve finished me had you cancelled into a super or cross assault super. In my opinion, it’s very easy to hit confirm into a super in this game. Too many random guesses with Cammy’s super.
Keith
- There were also many rounds that you could’ve finished me off had you cancelled into super or cross assault super. You had all the gems allocated to meter building, yet it was used so sparingly.
- Most of your meter usage went to comboing Marduc’s chain into EX command grab. There were a few instances where you would continue doing the chain, even if you didn’t have the meter. Better learn some combo’s that don’t require meter. Remember that chaining attacks together, in most cases, is very punishable.
- When you knocked me down, I was pretty much able to flash kick you everytime. You started to back off when I was knocked down near the end of our set, but you could attempt some other options on my wake up such as cross ups. You had me thinking I coudl flash kick everytime, so you could’ve just easily blocked and punished me.
i see, i dont even know how to do those super or cross assault stuff lol. i was going to learn some more team stuff like that when i have a solid team, im sure you noticed me switching my first character over and over. yeah when i was chaining stuff like marduk lk-mk-hp, i wanted to stop at mk because its way more safe, but bleh, i was just too use to chaining them all. and the backing off thing, when i got a knock down, the only thing i kept thinking is “this dude is gunna role, i have to be ready to punish” i dont even know how to roll yet lol. and when i would wake up with marduk and do some kind of wake up attack, i didnt even know how to do those lol.
thanks for the advice tho, next time we play hopefully ill have a good heihachi and a better understanding of the cross over stuff.
- Go to the command list to check and see what each of their supers are. Then find a way to combo into them effectivley.
- The cross assault super (where you’re hit by both characters) is performed by doing a quarter-circle forward motion and MP+MK. This uses all three meters, whereas a super will use two meters. The added benefit of the cross assault super is that the damage done is not recoverable (no life is recovered when that character is tagged out).
- Remmeber, you can also tag out your character using the tag cancel on moves (MP+MK). Will make tagging in your character safer depending on the move you canceled.
- To do a roll, hold the direction towards the opponent. Don’t press any buttons when you’re knocked down, or you might do a quick rise instead.
Yeah I play this game like SF4 and its a bad habit I can’t shake off. I keep spacing for rekka pressure and relying on fei’s normals…which is royally fucking me over lol.
I miss fei:(
