St.hk cancel range is complete shit my good sir. You ain’t gonna preface a st.hk cancel combo with more then one hit vs most chars and get it to cancel.

oAny of you guys use cr.mp ex lts fadc into u1 as a punish. Does pretty good damage around 480-90. I even use it after a focus attack stun for around the same damage. Well that’s not in the corner btw.

The hell i think hk is the best one. Its lk with its if i remember 2-3 frame start up. I just used hk to see if i can punish a jump in (style points) and got beat out and the guy was literly on me and he won. Just curious. And Emblem do you use that double tap HK move. I like to whore that move a lot.

You used hk and learned that it sucks ass for AA purposes.

A hard lesson learned. I bet money you will NEVER do that again though.

Fake kick?

I think it’s overrated honestly. If he had more movement going on I think it would be much better at getting your opponent to commit.

i always said that if you could f.hk fake kick , that would actually be plenty usefull.

fake HK might only be usefull if your playing against japs that have mechanical reactions :8

low short, low jab, medium tiger knee. Works on shotos (not akuma), Viper, and who else? That is my question.

To answer my own question, it works on many characters, such as Bison and Blanka, but require different buttons and distancing. Thanks again, Sagat forums.

What are good TK strings? Yes, I know the block damage on the TK is laughable but I like being able to do something besides cr.lk -> throw/cr.mp frame trap. I’ve been doing

I was actually surprised the cr.lk -> s.hk xx mk Tk string worked, it does that weird thing where you get both hits of TK but the second one hits meaty. Combos on hit too if you get a CH s.hk. Anyway, from my quick training room testing it seems like those TK strings are safe if they stand or crouch against most characters. Are any of those really inconsistent?

I’ve found out that Dudley and Zangief have hitboxes that mess up a lot of TK strings. Anyone else I should know about who has a dumb hitbox?

Is anti-air f.hk basically just dumb luck? Only time I seem to hit people with this is when they neutral jump or when I anticipate a jump and hit them on the way up. Which feels awesome by the way. Anyway I think usually I’d just rather hk kara TU to AA.

Fake hk is great at setting up tick throws, but it’s a gimmick.

Anyone know some good frame traps for Sagat? I think it could help my game greatly.

I’m still playing Vanilla sometimes and I was wondering how do you do the CS-LK xx Tigerknee? What i’m getting is, If I press forward, it does the little skip forward LK? and If I leave it in neutral as i press LK, then try to cancel into Tiger knee, it doesn’t come out in time. How do you guys do it? thanks.

I’m a little new to this game (you guys can tell) but I know enough for footies and FADC.

Sagat can cancel his f.lk and his f.hk into specials when they’re halfway done, before they actually hit. For example, f.hk -> (angry scar) f.hk kara uppercut is a combo. Also f.hk kara uppercuts punish Blanka’s up balls on hit/block, while just raw TU will not. You can also anti-air with kara uppercuts to increase your uppercut range.

For kara tiger shots, the easy way to do them is to do a fireball motion while you still have a slow fireball on the screen. Because you can’t have 2 fireballs out you get the f.lk/f.hk instead. Then when you hit the button again you cancel the move into a fireball since the first fireball is off-screen/got blocked. For example, forward throw, lk TS, :qcf:+:lk:, :lk: is a setup to throw a kara TS after a meaty lk TS. Basically kara tiger shots advance while throwing fireballs. You can’t really do :r::lk:,:qcf:,:lk: to get a kara fireball because of shortcuts - you’ll get a kara tiger knee. I know it is possible to do kara tiger shots without the help of a fireball on the screen, but it’s really hard.
