Ne one know of a way to punish OS techs?
I know with some characters they have normals which will punish someone who is OS tech throwing throwing a block string leading to a counter hit.
If Sagat had such a way that’d b nice.

If you’re trying to use cr.MK as the frame trap, any more success in it working after the first cr.lk or after the second cr.lk?
I mix it up actually. People tend to get figgity after the second cr.lk so you will probably see more success if you tech trap after that. I should do a follow up post to this because meaties change the equation quite a bit.
Anyone remember if in Vanilla Sagat’s blocked BnB combo against Vega in the corner ending with a low Tiger Shot was punishable by Vega’s cr.Medium Punch > EX FBA? Because it sure is in Super and it just feels out of place for some reason…

what’s up with Sagat’s eyes? I’m not THAT on top of SF canon, but I know Bison died like… twice so he is undead hence his eyes. Why does Sagat have pretty much the same deal without the pupil? I don’t recall him dying just getting wounded by Ryu (the scar…)
I think it has more to do with mysticism then who died or who didn’t die. Different color eyes = otherwordly power or enlightenment. Gouki’s eyes are red due to the Satsui no hadou. Bisons eyes are white thanks to his psycho power. Sim’s eyes are white because of his powers and higher state of conscienceness. I think Sagat’s eye is white for a simpler reason though. He’s blind in his right eye so I think he may just be losing his sight in his other eye slowly or something is going in in response to his right eye being damaged. that actually happens IRL. If one eye goes blind the sight in the other one degrades over time.

Quick nub question. I was watching Sanford kelly videos and was wondering how do you to the Forward+LK to Tiger. I end up doing a tiger knee most of the time. HE does a step and drops into a low tiger
its sagats rage eye lol. but seriously, the eye he lost, he lost it against an old master of his. dans dad took gats eye, gat took the fools life. ever notice how in the alpha games dan would scream oyagiiiiwhen facing gat. after beating dan (probably multiple times) gat gave up on revenge on ryu. mainly cause he saw he was a revenge looking fool like dan, and who wants to be seen as sad as dan? canon.
on the ex tu-u1, theres a specific height and moment i input the ultra. i probably hit it like 80%+ of the times i try. i dont even own the game yet and still hit it almost always when im playing at friends house. my method, QCFx2, 3k, 3k. you know its a hit when op is slightly above your head. hit the 3k twice right after each other, also do it in the moment obviously. anybody know who this doesnt hit?
edit, kara ts is done by allowing stick back in neutral. gotta be fast though. same way how you walk forward with ryu, do crouching mk into fb. otherwise you dp.

And Sagat gave up on revenge after letting Dan beat him realizing what being consumed by hatred can do to you. Where the hell did you get your Gat facts from?

Sagat won the title of Emperor of Muay Thai at the age of 18. Go was a challenger several years later. That’s basically it.
Question about TU (or: am I going senile?)
TU will do 100 damage deep or grounded, and 160 in the air, but the other day I was watching a replay against Guy and it seemed to me that my TU (no ex, no AS) did 200 damage when I aa’d one of his spinny jump moves.
Am I senile? If it did 200 damage, why? How can this be duplicated?
perhaps it’s a noob question but perhaps those who would verbally observe this fact should be lovingingly slobbing my knob instead

Probably a counter hit AA TU i.e good luck duplicating this consistently vs good opponents or in a tourney match.
I duplicated it a couple times today in ranked matches against not-good competition. On the first one, it was indeed a counter hit TU AA; but on another, I got no counter hit message (it was the last hit of the round) on another TU AA. Probably, it just didn’t give me the message for counter hit because it was the end of the match.
But yeah, this is new information to me, so in case it’s new to anyone else, 200 dmg on counter tu aa. Neat-o!!!and shit
risking the trade doesnt seem worth it.
Question - Sagat player fresh off the boat here.
How reliable is the DP trade into Ultra? I’m mucking around with Ryu as the record dummy and it seems to be useful from a mid range trade only? I’m finding the EX low tiger shot hits pretty constantly after the trade though. (although this might not be worth the meter?)
Any thoughts from you Tiger beasts? (I’d do it on all 35 in the training room , but I got some fireballs to chuck tonight…!)
Edit: mmm … the forward round house seems to trade better, but it get’s hit clean if you start it too late it seems…
Uh, after Tiger Uppercut AA trade use F+RH, and unless you hit an extended hitbox with AA TU the F+RH should always hit after the trade, and follow into ultra.
