Just a quick question on the reasons some people use U2 over U1. What are they? haha
Does anyone know any good frame trap set ups for gat?
My guess is because U1 will miss alot of hits when done in the corner, whereas U2 always connects for full damage (even though it’s low damage, at least it’s reliable). Also it’s a tad bit safer if it misses bc it recovers faster and often times leaves enough space between you and your apponent for you to avoid being punished. I’m no expert, but that’s my take on it.

Besides Akuma and Blanka, what other match-ups are good for Ultra II? Adon, Dhalsim, Hawk maybe?
Any one with a fireball really but even then you could switch in U1. For Sim though U2 all the way.

I just have one question though. After you do the qcb x2 + P and stock it, does the buff last indefinitely until your next TU or will it wear off after a few seconds regardless?

I’ve started using it in my gameplay, but it’s no game changer. Just too many issues with it, as you noted in your blog entry. I will say this though, I think it’s completely idiotic to have to spend meter to power up Sagat so one TU can do the kind of the damage the Shotos do with theirs on a regular basis. Here’s to hoping they fix him in the arcade version rebalance.
Hey guys. I know that online points don’t mean as much as tourney wins as far as respect goes. This is coming from kind of a beginner (just got serious about trying to get good at sf about, well, since super came out…) anyway…Did you know that the PSN top ranked player in the world mains … drum roll…tense crowd silence…Sagat?! I checked it this afternoon. You can view their online profile and see who their most used character is, and the top ranked player uses Sagat. I mean, that’s gotta give us all a little hope huh? But I know this is a question thread and so far, i haven’t really asked one…so my question is this: Do you all think these online rankings are legit? Do people cheat? Even still, it was good to see Sagat on top.
I’m pretty sure one of the top XBOX players (Cat girl or some gay shit) is some BP-mining sociopath who pretends to be a teenage girl or something. So, it doesn’t really mean anything. It in theory CAN, I mean Daigo’s pretty high up there, right?, but it rarely means anything.
online points definitely count for something, there are a lot of factors to take into account though when looking at the leader boards though.
the amount of time people play online in ranked mode being the biggest one. Scrubydan is the highest ranked sagat on xboxlive and i know he isn’t a pushover.
I don’t really think there is a way to cheat, if you disconnect you get docked points. Other than that I don’t really see a way someone could “cheat” and get more points.
You don’t get points for losing and the more points you have the more you lose.
