I hate when I go for the TU to FADC and I counter hit and misjudge it and they just fall on the ground lol
Is this for that situation?

Yup! That’s when I use it anyway. If you forget, just hit him with an HK Tiger Knee.
I went into training mode to test it again, resetting your opponent with j. MP also works on a normal hit. You just have to press MP right out of your jump, the same way you would do his instant overhead with vertical j. MK.
So Anotak, you get the best of both worlds; big damage, and the ability to mix-up after a reset:
Level 2 FA > Cr. MK xx HP Tiger Uppercut, FADC, j. MP, throw/FA/another uppercut/whatever.
I’m going to start doing this all the time.
I looked through some of the previous pages but I didn’t see any reference to it. My question is now that I’m playing on an arcade stick I cannot get his low step kick->tiger shot. 9 out of 10 times it will come out a tiger knee or uppercut. Is there a certain motion you guys use to get his shots out while doing a low step kick cancel?
Yeah I friggin HATE that… especially when the match is riding on it. Most of the time I either do the f+HK (and go right underneath them) or I just… freeze (stand there and just… well… stand there).
This leads to a lot of :grrr::annoy:
practice doing your motions quickly and cleanly
alternatively you can use this less reliable trick:

Any good rushdown setups/tactics i can use with sagat? im tired of playing sagat like a pussy.
all i do is j.mp, c.mk xx tigershot if they corner me. otherwise i just jump backwards to gain more space, tigershot and stuff them with tk, tu, s.hk.
my sagat needs to be more aggressive.
How come Sagat doesn’t have any nipples?.. seriously.
Do you guys double tap the BnB c.lk,c.lk,c.lp? Personally I don’t but see the benefits of doing it online.
Hey guys,
My first ever post on here!
Love the forums and have learned a lot coming on here… my game with Sagat has immensely improved just by patiently reading through a lot of what’s on here already.
But
I have two questions!!! :bgrin:
When you FADC with Sagat, at the point where you dash, right after the FADC, is there any way to actually not dash [even though you double-tap forward] and simply do the high-step kick right after cancelling?
The reason I ask is because a lot of the times after a FADC, I either dash in front of the air-borne character and have to do the high step kick in the other direction and it’s a bit confusing/more difficult than doing the whole combo string in one direction.
I think I’ve seen where a player does the FADC, high-step kick, dash, high-step kick, and then the ultra… that’s what I’m hoping to be pulling off.
Second question:
When’s the best time to execute the F+HK? I’m talking generally now… each time an opponent jumps I normally just try the HK as an anti-air, as the swing motion of the F+HK is harder to time and I quite often miss it…
Any help here will really be appreciated.
Thanks
FADC = focus attack dash cancel
that means, you have to dash. If you’re ending up on the wrong side of them, you’re probably dashing twice.
Practice your f+hk timing in training, cuz it comes out pretty slow and weird, you gotta hit it when they’re pretty high or even before they’re at the peak of their jump. Sometimes it’s hard to get out online because of lag.
either that or you’re not dashing fast enough after pressing m.k+m.p. You want to dash right after you press it.
It seems the problem isn’t the dash itself, I do that without any problem, it’s the speed with which I execute the F+HK right after the dash that screws up my timing…
Is it FF+HK after FA
or FF xx F+HK after FA?
The easier way to connect the F.HK after the FADC is to pause straight after the FADC let the joystick go back to netural then do :r: + :hk: this will stop you from dashing under people.
My question above still curious

I’d like to know as well. What do you do Reckin? Do you just hit them once each? I’m just starting to try to get them down and it’s pretty hard for me to link them. I’m trying to do it without double tapping, it seems inaccurate. I’d like to just have the timing down perfectly.
Any tips for me?
Whenever I try a TU, FADC, f+hk, ultra… i tend to dash too far forwards and can’t land anything (I end up under the opponent while he is falling)
That’s what the other guy just asked… you’re probably dashing twice
Like everyone else said, you’re probably dashing too many times, if by some chance you’re having your :r:+:hk: cause you to go past them, you’re doing that too early.
On the topic of Sagat’s kara specials, what kara is better? :r:+:lk: or :r:+:hk:? I didn’t get a conclusive answer from flipping through the thread and in matchvids, you naturally cannot gather which kara is being used.
is c.lp > c.mp a good move to use for interrupting peoples strings?
c.lp is quick as hell and c.mp is advantage on block.
:r:+:lk: for uppercuts and knees. I don’t know about Kara TS too much.

wrong. :r:+:hk: >tk or tu comes out faster and covers the same distance. the timing is just more strict.
