And change Forward Fierce Punch damage back to what it was.

If you really want to get interesting with it though… find a useful way for people to use U2. Or add Joudan. But those are just fun little extras. We already have a fake fireball guys. It’s called Fireball FADC. HDR fake fireball would be a bit much, but hey, I’m not complaining if we get it.
Just like everyone is saying. Low foward back to the way it was. I don’t know why they nerfed it. I heard from another community that he is getting some pretty nice buffs but this is purely RUMOR.
I say they should’ve just left him alone from vanilla to AE just like how they left Viper alone.

I think just having cr. mk back would be perfect, maybe solar plexus damage back, because standing hp does more damage than solar plexus now lol
Air tatsu escape was really dumb imo, but his ssf4 air tatsu gave him a way to use it offensively in the sim and sagat matches, which he kinda needed
I actually like a cancellable st. mp, its useful against rekkas at least (though not much else) that match up is still horrid, however
Yeah, honestly Ryu is kind of bad now. sps does 10 more damage than f+mp. c.mk just sucks. It feels like its barely farther than c.mp. What’s even worse is that the hitbox is at his ankle so your thinking its going to connect but nothing happens. Just a wiff.
First time I played against Ken in AE i was wondering why I was getting dominated on footsies and then I reemebered they made his walk speed faster. Which reminds me, Ryu back walk speed is really painful now. If I walk back basically anyone in the cast can walk forward nullifying the space I try to create. Tatsu back, terrible! Worse than walking back. So I revert to playing footsies. Well that sh!t is decent at best. wtf was capcom thinking? I get steam rolled badl. OH yeah, so you try to use hadouken more effectively but that crap takes off so little compared to so many other cast members pokes.
The plus side is that I think I got better because Ryu got worse and I dont see so many ryu’s anymore.
Put him back to vanilla status or at the very lest give me the old c.mk
Never said it was reduced. To clarify myself, it always sucked but its more noticeable in AE because his one option to gain max distance got nerfed (tatsu), jumping back is a waste when someone is trying to close in on you and finally walking back sucks because its so slow.
So what to do? Counter with footsies but his c.mk is poop now
ken still has his air tatsu but you can get punished unless you use ex. also they made his air tatsu a non overhead. so yea ken has his air tatsu but it isn’t as usefull in the corner as ryus in super unless he uses a bar and it isn’t an overhead anymore which makes it easier to block.
1/ Ken’s walkspeed has never changed.
2/ Any Ken main would swap their characters walk speed with Ryu. Apart from combo into sweep an increase in walk speed is the most requested buff for Ken.
3/ Ken’s c.mk got nerfed as well, lost 2 active frames. You just don’t hear about it because the hitbox wasn’t as stupid good as Ryu’s.
I thought that was one of the changes going into AE but I wil take your word on it since I dont play him. in any case, they did something to his hitbox. Overall his moves feel like they have more priority from SS4

They adjust Ryu hitboxes. Who knows. the match up just feels different from a footsies standpoint.
Increased the vertical hitbox on U2 for better anti-air/full animation.
Can combo full U2 after counter hit Shakunetsu Hadoken. So if c.mk gets absorbed by a FA, Ryu can do EX Fireball, FADC U2 for 500 damage. If Ryu is close range he can hit EX Fireball -> U2 without FADC.
The “brake” frame on air Tatsu decreased by 3 frames, if used on this frame the trajectory will change.
Solar plexus 40+60 for 100 total damage.
If he hits S.RH counter hit on a crouching opponent he can combo sweep after it.
Seems like SP is back, along with a USEFUL U2 for once. This could be exceptionally deadly in footies because of one cmk ex fireball that can automatically link into U2 for massive damage…
HA! I wish I had even your current c.mk, or could combo into my fireball without counter hit or a fierce punch, or hit cr.mp times 2 into tatsu or srk or jab jab jab sweep or knockdown with my fireball or wake up reversal FADC or use my slow ass Shin Shoryuken to anti-air or…bah, nevermind.
Right. Ken doesn’t have the same tools as Ryu. In fact he doesn’t need it if you comparing him to Ryu. Ken rates higher than Ryu on many AE tier list’s.
I think he’s comparing Ryu to Gouken and to be honest, I hope they really buff Gouken because right now, he’s lacks tools that Ryu and Ken have. I don’t play Gouken, and maybe there’s a good reason for that.
