when doing the shoryuken FADC cancel into ultra, which shoryuken works best, lp,mp,hp. I would like more consistency, so far i feel that lp is the best used shoryuken for this combo to work,
P.S i using a PS3 controller
the timing for all 3 is the same so it doesn’t really matter in terms of consistency. Most ppl do the HP because it does more damage. If ur dp gets blocked and u fail to FADC, u are going to get punished no matter which version u use anyway so might as well do the HP.

Is there is a big frame data repository for this game somewhere that I can look at? In tekken we have this site (http://sdtekken.com/t5dr/frame-data/) which is a bible and so, so helpful. Is there something like this for SF4?
Probably. I would like to know also though. I have the official guide book and that has frame data in it.

Ryu is one of my favorite characters and i’m looking forward on using him. I like his play style because it doesn’t take much to get use to and like you said, he’s just a basic all around player. Thanks for the tutorials man. Make a ken tutorial.
Is it me, or is the bnb cr+lk, cr+lp, cr+hp => hadoken/shoryuken/tatsu quite hard? I’m finding it hard to link from the lp into the hp 
Nah. It’s a 2 frame link, aka pretty easy. Takes practice of course, but once you have the timing down it’s one of the easier combos to pull off compared to other links. Cr. lp + cr. mk is harder than cr. lp + cr. hp, but even that isn’t too hard.

I think since these videos are progressing in skill level you could considering doing some more advanced stuff such as appropriate Focus shield timings, proper cross over technique, baiting.
And also, WHEN to block.
