im also having trouble with ryus combosā¦ only combo that gives me trouble is c.lk, c.lp -> DPā¦ i cant do it for the life of me, not even once!.. yet i can do c.lp,c.lk.c.hp -> tatsuā¦ i dont know why i cant do itā¦ if i do it slowly enough the c.lk wont combo and itll be 2 hitsā¦ if i do it faster i cant get the DP to come outā¦ is there a trick to this?
You need to do the joystick motion very quickly. Two ways to do it. You can use the shortcut. Do c.lk, then hit DF along with your c.lp, then df again and hp. Or, you can use the traditional motion. Youād hit c.lk, c.lp, and start the dp motion as soon as you hit that lp. This is a bit more difficult, and if itās done sloppy with a super bar, the super will come out.
I noticed that part 4 does not cover angled jumping MP as an anti-air setup to Ultra. Is that considered that to risky to do and an anti-air?

im confusedā¦ you say do c.lk which im guessing is when the joystick is āDāā¦ then do c.lp when you hit āDFā, then you say do HP when your in āDFā againā¦ but you are already in āDFā when your doing the c.lp
go back to neutral while still in the c.lp animation, and then back to df+hp.
as an Akuma mainer, Ryu alter these tutorials were really useful, thank you. Some basic fundamentals still float over my head. Hope you read this, even if its the millionth Mickey.

To let you guys know, Ryu video tutorial part 5 is in progress. Iām currently writing the script/layout to the video, and Iām in the middle of recording footage for the video as well. I expect it to be out in the next 2 weeks.
Itās going to be (as I think Iāve said in the past) about momentum and applying pressure, and I personally feel as if this video is going to be the best of itās series (as of the current videos). Anyways, Iāll let you guys know when the official release date is!
I really wish youād post matches you have on Youtube. I saw Maximillian Dude ( guy from GAF who plays a mean Ken) playing Alex Valle, and I thought, why isnāt Mickey D doing this? The tuts are great, but I personally think more is learned watching top tier guys like you handle different characters ( in real matches) to give a better idea of how to handle their myriad of play styles.
