Iām on a fair amount if anyone needs some anti-Bison practice. Rose is my second, so we can have some mirror match fun, but TBH my links have gone to hell with her recently since I pretty much am a Bison monogamist at this point. Nice Rose you have there, good pressure game and punishment reactions. Though you may be a bit too quick to try and punish. I think I caught you 5 or 6 times with my whiffed slide to ultra setup. I was noticing how eager you were to punish my slides with a c.mp :wgrin:
I saw you try a few links and FADCās to get a combo going but not sure if you just missed them or you were trying for something else. Your game is pretty solid and even though I won 6-3 itās misleading as the games were often down to the last round. You definitely kept me on my toes and werenāt letting me get away with much. We should play again sometime :tup:

GGās man, you caught me off guard a bit, we definitely need to play again, hopefully this time it wont be half an hour before bed time. haha
Maybe we can help each other out. One of the things I noticed you did that ended up causing you the round was that ultra set up, it caught me off guard at first, but at the end of the match, specially if I have no life meter left, the last thing I want to do is punish a slide while you have an ultra geared up. I noticed I was able to use my ultra after I blocked yours, since most of the time you went for it.
One of the things I have learned about Rose, is appreciating her ultra, you cant just randomly pull it out, either its by FA or on jumping opponents, I remember pulling out a random ultra, but it was an accident, actuallyā¦ lol
Also, you should try and tick throw a bit more, I noticed you didnāt do much of that, Rose has a nice pressure game when you lock your opponent up, her quickness is nice, also.
Other than that, excellent Rose, you bring nice pressure with her slide, it was frustrating at crunch time. And yes, I was trying to hard to punish it, haha, my timing was so screwed up, it was frustrating.
What can I say? down to the wire Rose mirrors are always good, we need more, maybe today?

What a battle! Seriously almost every round was down to the last sliver as we were slugging it out in one of the most epic Rose mirrors Iāve yet played! Last minute comebacks, a healthy dose of footsies, throws, tick throws, techs and some nice combo links on both sides.:bgrin:
You took the set 7-10 matches, but it could have easily went either way. I seriously felt like we were at a dead heat. We will definitely have to do that again!
When you sent me the inv I was in the middle of a match with xNASHFANx. Iād definitely like to play your Rose again and yes I agree that next time we do it a litle earlierā¦lol. When we were done it was 3am over here and I could barely keep my eyes openā¦lol.

Hey guys, been strangling people with roseās scarf since launch! Iāve only played THREE rosesā¦ ever. Iāve lurked around this board for quite some time, the match up threads are excellent (anyone else have insane trouble with Honda?)
I feel like Iām decent enough for g2, but definitely not consistent enough for g1, which it seems I will be reaching shortly.
Iād love to get some matches in, any lessons or advice would be awesome.

lolā¦No worries, I was getting ready to get off for the night too. I figured since you just sent me the FR I would send you an invite and maybe get a quick set in.
Well, in our 6 matches we played the one you won in was when you kept the pressure on and mixed up your attacks. You didnāt try any links in your combos but your c.mp, spiral was working decently for you as a punishment. You seem to like to throw a lot and that was one of the things I was using when I got in close to pick you apart. You ate quite a few c.lp, c.lp, c.lk, c.mp, EX spiral combos trying to throw me. Throwing is fine, but donāt let that be the only thing you try to do when you get in.
I also didnāt see you try any crossup attempts. But your game is pretty solid you have the fundamentals together, just maybe a bit more execution on your combos to do more damage when you have the opportunity. C.mp, spiral is nice but it only does 160 damage, you need to be able to do more to put your opponent down faster.
Maybe Iām the only one that does it, but I caught you as well a couple times with my whiffed slide to ultra setup. Does nobody else do this? Most Rose players seem to be real eager to punish a blocked slide without looking to see if she has ultra.
I actually just started using crossups like last week. Iām using them pretty much every match now, but I dunno, it could be the tired incoherence or the fact that you applied pressure so well that I was just too overwhelmed to work any in.
Same story with the links, I can do them like 70% of the time in training after Iāve been working on them for a while, but every time I try to work a crossup in and do that I fail, and Iāve only done the c.lp c.lp c.lk c.mp drill once in actual battle. :crybaby: I know the extra damage is important, I just am loathe to sit in training for a few hours to get it down solid.
We will definitely have to get some more matches in!

Well, GGs man we tried a few tonight, but it seemed the connection just wouldnāt go our way. It was pretty much who ever hosted won. I hosted I won, you hosted you wonā¦lameā¦lol. Iām not sure whatās up with that, who ever was off host had a real hard time pulling off their links and FADC comboās. :tdown:
I see that your Rose is however very good and you have nice punishment routines and reactions. I just wish we could get a few games in offlineā¦
gg Luffy, I was no match for your well-timed drills. Couldnt get a counter through that furry of attacks. Also the mixup between combo or throw had me messed up, especially when I have no EX stock. If I did, well, you baited and countered.
I have to learn that pattern of attack, am not fast enough at the moment to do this. Also, I liked your setup of C MP to drill to EX drill. Worked everytime like a charm didnt it?

GGs acku80, your Rose rly inspired mine for my footsies game. I should use more of her s.hk and s.mk.
U were too much relying on EX drill wakin up, getting u punished many many times lol. I think u should poke some more with her slide and mixup some more (my mixup to throw played a good part on my advance ^^,)
Always nice to play a Rose, we can see her weakness easier
